Depends a lot on where you are. Keep in mind that Cubes grow just fine in open air, in their natural habitat. Most folks agree that FAE is more important than Humidity, but theres a reason that cubes dont grow naturally in the desert.

I would endorse some method of keeping the humidity up.

:whathesaid:

Some growers keep kids off their tubs when home (not many.) They simply maintain the surface moisture level as time passes.  I would assume those that do this live in a humid climate.

If you have a full canopy the caps will produce a micro climate but if you live in a low humidity region I find it best to keep the lid on and pull out the poly on the top holes when the pinset is good and fruits are 2-3in.

I would rather not have my fruiting bodies in a humid environment with no FAE allowing whatever contams are present a perfect climate to set up shop..

I'll keep the poly on my tubs today.

Sure, cubes don't contaminate in vitro, but op's grow is from a MS Syringe and who knows what his sterile technique was like.
We all know that FAE is the most important thing during fruiting.

I'm not seeing where you're coming from on this one. Could you elaborate?

Maybe you're speaking about a spawn run without fruiting conditions?
