Habitat:
Michigan, Under Light treeshade near a downed hardwood lots of rain lately

Has pores not gills

Spore print color:
No spore print

Bruising:
No bruising

Other information:
Smells very strongly of a stereotypical mushroom smell

Is it a chicken of the woods, i think its in the same family yeah? I just read giganteus is only in europe im in the states, and this looks a bit different.

It's not chicken of the woods. It could be something closely-related to M. giganteus, maybe someone stateside can be more helpful. If it is closely-related then it's probably edible when young. Polypores tend to get a bit tough as they age, so the bits that feel hard/leathery should be discarded, if you're intending to eat it. The soft, spongy parts will be the bits worth eating.

I'm not sure how tasty it is, as I've not eaten it.

Does it bruise black? If so, compared to
Meripilus sumstinei.
