no signs of life 8 days after innoc?

Normally my spores germinate in 4-5 days. It's been 8 days and the jars remain silent. Did I do something wrong or is there still a chance they will germinate?

its pf tek brf. I had the spores in the fridge for about 2 months before I mustered the energy to plant them.
These are F+ strain when I normally grow golden teacher.

All I can say is patience. It sometimes takes a few weeks. Sometimes within 1. But it really is luck of the draw. Did you shake the syringe well?

Well then you did your part. Hopefully you'll see something in the next week, or it could be suspicious. I don't do BRF cakes so I am not sure when is a good time to call it a loss and toss it. Maybe wait for someone else to chime in on that.
EDIT: I recommend if you have a few successful grows under your belt using pf tek... Then go ahead and dive into agar and grain, you wont regret it.

Past two-three weeks you can really start to consider giving up on the project, or at least getting something else going.

Well it can sometimes take over a month in crazy ass situations but, normally, past 3 weeks, hopes should be tapered..

I hd some damn wbs that took 6+ weeks to colonize and threw it outside......smelled fine so I cased it in some old coir/verm that was already outdoors and some grass clippings to help hold moisture in....but in my mind I knew something was wrong with the spawn....so if anything happens to grow cool if not oh well

Yeah, sounds pretty normal. Sometimes mine germ in 4 days. Sometimes 2 (if I'm very lucky). Sometimes it takes two weeks, which I hate.
I've pretty much given up on inoculating with spores for this reason. If you really want progress, agar is the way to go. Never had a single plate not germ since I started using them.
