Good morning shroomery.
I entered into the lazy mofo bag tek last week after my shelves came crashing down and my jars went everywhere. So in my hasty attempt to save them, after washing off the in in colonized portions I put two 60% brf cakes in a ziplock with 3 pre inoculated brf cakes....this is what I have today.
I was unable to keep the entire bag as one, so I have 3 large chunks about the size of a large male fist. The portion shown (half the bag) is more colonized then the other side....
QUESTIONS:: being that they're in chunks already will the myc off of one chunk help colonize the outside of another chunk? Like if I pressed the sides together or laid them on top of each other? I'm assuming I'll have to break and shake in order for that to happen
Also, does that picture look ready for fruiting? What route should I take into fruiting? I was almost going to just place it in the chamber as is and see how it fruits and from where. but i also got intrigued by flat cakes...this is still my first attempt/harvest. if i do flat cakes, do i still case with just verm? Or can I just crumble it up in a small pan to help it form a shape and case that with verm? does it need a casing? what happens if i place into a pan without casing? will it still fruit?

The "yellow" stuff is damp pieces of Verm or brf mix (I used a blender on whole brown rice to make it into a flour) I looked up yellow contaminates and they don't resemble what I see in my bag...is there any more fellow experienced members that can chime in?

No, it's not. The yellow stain that covers a large area is not verm.
