Looking at getting my first tattoo

Its long overdue for me to get a tattoo. I have very little idea on what i wsnt and google images seems too cheesy to go to and get ideas although the guy who is going to give it to me will tak the picture and improve it so that i like it better.
I have a few ideas in mind that i dont know if they are cheesy and cliche, ehat are some normal tattoos someone can get. I dont want something edgy either i want it to be art.

Get something with meaning....not just a tattoo to have one/cause it looks cool. I only have one. It's a grateful dead tattoo, and I thought about it for years before I got it. It holds a lot of meaning to me, and that won't change. Even when I don't listen to the dead for a while, the meaning remains & I don't regret it at all.

I want something with meaning just nothing cliche im sorry ive been drunk for the past two days i just keep ranting to everyone i talk to.
I just feel like google images is cliche and alot of people would have those.
I want a tattoo because ive wanted one for a long time and i feel like nownincould get one and not be dumb about it. I dont want it to be a cheesy tattoo and be explaining it to everyone i meet.
Maybe i should get "i dont want it to be a cheesy tattoo" in comic sans?
Edit:
I wont be getting it for a couple weeks so i have time to think this over.

What Google images do you like? Without something to go on this is impossible.
Do you have some artists you like? My next tattoo is going to be this

I would suggest as you mentioned letting the artist tweak it to fit proper on the body and let them get inspired by putting their touch on it. Be open to their professional opinion.

That's pretty dope. You should also mention that it is your first tattoo in your tattoo because tattoos clearly mean alot to you and meaningful things are good things to have as a tattoo.

Maybe you should wait until you can come up with an idea yourself instead asking random people on the internet what you should get tattoo'd

get a tat that says "i will not be a sucky person" or some shit like that on ur forearm. you know, something that will remind u of the kind of person u are striving to become in case u're ever having a shitty day u can just look back at ur tat and be reminded of something good. i have one tat, and that's precisely why i got it. to make it more difficult for me to avoid who i really am. to be reminded of the past, what i fought for, and all the pain that i caused and was inflicted upon me, so as to strive for a better future..

At minimum, you've got to narrow it down to a genre.
Do you want color? an image? tribal? etc. Geometric pieces have caught my eye recently.

Make sure you pick a good artist look at the portfolio ! Talk about your idea and have them draw it and stuff might take 1 to 4 month wait to get a good tattoo most of the time
Do what you want but I would say don't get it on the forearm if you don't know what you want I did that when I was like 15 and regretted it all coverd now what about the leg instead posibly it can look really awkward in that spot on the arm take your time no rush
You should wait for something really meningful becuse it's on you forever
It's OK if you don't know yet good things take time I was like that too now don't have enough blank skin
Did 2 and a half hours on my foot 6 months ago hurt so fuckin bad was all bloody after and walked with a limp for a week had to wear work boot's too lol

Don't pay attention to the bitch respones. Just try and figure what you want. Geometric is still very broad.
Listen to the placement ideas here, the forearm while very brazen can lead to regret. Personally will never go below the elbow.
You like esoteric stuff, flat out shapes, what's up with blue and purple, if you don't know what you want tattood what inspires you to be tattooed?
