Dehumidifier
    #23600712 - 09/01/16 10:41 AM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Hey shroomers today I inoculated some brf cakes and am setting up my grow in the living area in my basement. It's very humid where I live these days, so there is a dehumidifier down there. My question is how much does humidity play a factor in colonization? Would my best bet be to turn it off as long as there are mushy things going on down there?

Humidity plays no role in colonization. It's trapped in a jar with a filter for minimal gas exchange. It'll be humid in the jars just fine.

Ok, once I get to the grow phase do you think it will have an effect?even if I spray and fan properly?

No. I live in an environment with less than 10% rH. Lack of humidity in a room has literally never been a problem. Even without using a fruiting chamber.
