Is this HEPA filter convenient for building a flowhood?

I'm planning on building a flowhood and found a HEPA filter and wondered if it is convenient for a flowhood, would really appreciate some help .)

It's 61x61x15 cm (24x24x6 inches) Frame: MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) frame Surface Area: 14,9 m2 Airflow Rate(m3/h): 1000 Pressure Loss(Pa): 250 Filter Efficiency: H13
They also have a 61x61x21cm (24x24x11inch) model and also models with aluminum frames but they are more expensive. Should I go for a thicker model and is MDF frame ok?

Definetly go for the six inch deep filter, its the best/most common size for home flow hood.
The 1" thick filter *is* possible to get laminar flow but it will not hold up near as long as the deeper one (which will last many years if you take care of it).
You will need to build at least a six inch deep plenum (Id go bigger) on your hood for the six inch deep filter.
For the 24 x 24 x 6" filter you will need a blower that pushes 400CFM @ 1 - 1.2SP. You will have to get the blower specs from the seller before you buy one and check the specs to make sure it pushes 400CFM @ 1-1.2 sp (.2 for the pre filter).
Good luck!

There is a 6 inch and an 11 inch model, but 11 inch is more expensive. If it's the most common size I'm just gonna go with the 6 inch one. Thanks for the numbers, those will be very useful. .)

Yea the deeper filters do work but they make the hood heavy and bulky.
I would definetly pick the 6" deep filter if you have a choice, most of the time when people buy deeperfilters its bevause they are cheaper and more available on ebay or whatnot

Wait I don't get it, so are deeper filters less useful? 6 inches is better than 11? If that is so, there is also a 3 inch model, is that one better?
