I'm guessing you're going to have to jump through hoops to get it and it'll only be the low THC variety?

Yea decriminalization is what we should be pursuing. New Port Richey has decriminalized small amounts

Only select places will be able to grow it. The only kinds of cannabis that are approved for when it does happen are strains like charlotte's web and only really for seizures and things like that. The majority of ailments that cannabis treats aren't really accepted here yet for whatever reason. Orange county decrim'd it too!

theyre sketch af about medicalizing it here also due to the fact that it will be perceived as "setting an example for the rest of the South"... as in like, oh no, if FL has weed theyre ALL gonna get weed and we cant have a bunch of stoned rednecks.

Crazy times, people.

I think the problem lies with Rick Scott. scott's a complete scumbag in this... He has money invested in the companies doing the drug testing for the welfare recipients, and yet they are largely coming up drug free. Not only that, he gave some bullshit about how he sees the damage done by alcohol to the communty and families, and how he doesn't want that to happen with weed and bring more addicts about or some other inane reasoning.

I think other southern states will leap ahead of Florida in the legality game.
...those damn weed addicts. Always up in the clinics and overdosing. If only they knew how much they were hurting their family's...filling the house with munchies and such.

Whatever the policies look like, it would be tough for them to be much shittier than the med policies we have in MN. Governor Dayton sure knelt and knob-slobbed the big beef bologna on that whole fucking deal.

He is the asshole denying that algae bloom was caused by agriculture runoff, right?

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/07/23/toxic-algae-bloom-closes-utah-lake-sickens-more-than-100-people.html Glad to see Fox is being fair and balanced now after the sex harressment guy left.

This lost a lot of money and was a big story here.
It's been decriminalized in some areas. that's a start.

Drugs in the south is a scary time now. Only 'cause it's filled with crack and meth.
Believe me I've lived in Birmingham, AL and Lafayette and New Orleans, LA.
Lots of people smoke weed down here too. But there's so much weird hard drug-use. It's weird because it's like almost normal. A lot of people don't think crack or cocaine or meth are a big deal.
But that may be a city thing. Not a southern thing. But they're definitely around here.
