Liquid culture 3rd week, slow development? contam?

Hi everyone
This is my first post. I'm using liquid culture and following pf tek, and I'm a little concerned about the progress in this lc jar. Spores were injected 3 weeks ago, and I'm keeping the jar in a dark place at 23degC, I only expose the jar to light to swill lc around, approx every 24 hours. Little balls of fluffy off white pseudo-mycelium have formed, but there doesn't appear to be any whispy LC like in many photos I've seen here on shroomery. The fluffy balls separate from one another but do not disintegrate when swilled around and all gather together again when the water settles. Is this normal/contam? Any ideas or opinions greatly appreciated.

Here's a similar post, wherein the OP's LC created from spores is visibly contaminated. This may or may not be the case for you (there are a few dark spots in your jar but nothing compared to the linked post), but there is some good information in the responses.

urs actually doesn't look bad but there is no way to tell if its clean just by looking at it.
the groups of growth are difficult to break up unless u have something in the bottom like shard of glass, marble, screw, etc.

shake vigorously.
I like to shake it like a spraycan for a minute to break everything up. then I swirl it one way really fast for a few seconds then reverse the motion so it crashes into each other and comes to a halt. i also like to leave the jar tilted so that the mycelium sinks and forms in one corner persay. if you let it settle in the middle it forms a halo or donut.
i also found that my LC was fully developed at the 3 week mark. i made two jars, used one, and the other has been sitting ever since. it still looks the same. im sure more spores= more growth over time

A magnetic stirrer is perfect for getting things all mixed up. and it looks cool
The uploader used a 7.5v power supply and used a potentiometer which may not have been turned all the way up; if you need a more powerful vortex, use 12v instead.

if you look close you can see black specks in the LC. i was a nooberino and shrugged it off. inoculated 12 brf jars all turned into black mold death. never used lc after that..
I forgot the link or the poster but look up liquid inoculate tek(ill find the link soon i hope) where you put a agar wedge in a jar of (sterilized) water and shake the shit out of it. couldnt remember if the tek involved sucking it up in a syringe or just dumping some into grain jars but the tek had a video with a phish song..

Is this it?
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22833314
It literally mentions "- shake the shit out of the water jar" and the video features a phish song

Thanks a lot, very helpful, I whilst the idea of LC sounds good, because of sheer amount of yield long term, i recon i'll leave it from now on, just too unreliable.
Cheers

Liquid Culture is not inherently unreliable. However, Liquid Culture created from spores is inherently unpredictable. The Liquid Inoculate tek posted above isn't perfect, but it is likely to greatly increases your odds of success over using spores.
