Is it possibly a horrible thing. My wife just gave birth and i promised you a huge trip after the baby was settles in. Anyone know how it would effect a new born. I hate to break my promise to the wife.

Congrats on the baby tump. How much extra milk can she store? I think waiting 72 hours to breastfeed again would be good to be on the safe side.

If you are a Terence Mckenna guy, I can't imagine that the archaic mushroom taking people of South/Central America were worried about waiting to breastfeed. After all, The actives are moved into minute concentrations fairly quickly(~12 hours).
But this stuff isn't heavily studied.

I wouldn't say its a "rule" but I think it would be pretty safe.

Just do it, your baby would love it! Then take him/her to a ball pit!
In all seriousness, I have no idea, but I think it sounds highly unlikely, that the breast milk can contain psilocybin, as when you ingest it, it turns into psilocin in your stomach.
Damn I would love to try tripping in a ballpit now!

You could always save up the three days of milk. Then you dose your wife and drink a few cups of that breast milk and get a free trip out of it XD.

It contains Cannabidol I believe . Sorry for getting off topic. Why not have her pump some excess for the days after just to be safe? Sorry if I'm being rude

I heard this too but I also heard it contains DMT or is at least theorized to.

There is no proof of DMT anywhere in the human body. There are the chemicals that *could* possibly make it but thats all. Rick Strassman theorized it was possible for the body to produce it , maybe in the pineal gland. People took his speculation and ran with it

Dude I'm pretty sure DMT has been proven to be a natural part of human metabolism and has been found in both the liver and the lungs.
As far as I know the only "myth" or speculation going on right now is whether or not it is produced by the pineal gland, that's the one that hasn't been proven yet is whether it's actual human brain chemistry or not. I'm fairly certain is has already been proven to exist in the liver and the lungs though.

It's already known to exist in all these plants and animals naturally the only myths I know of is the dream thing, DMT being produced in the brain and it being released when we die and when we are born
I'm 99% sure on this but w/e I kinda don't want to go dig something up but it seems I may just to reassure myself anyways.

I am a huge breast feeding advocate. But if you can't store enough milk to last 72 hours, why not use formula for a few days? Not like it will kill the baby or anything.

That makes sense now. I think that's the reason DMT is the only drug you could never technically be drug tested for and that they would actually have to catch you doing it.

DMT hasn't been found yet in the human brain AFAIK, however it was found in the pineal glands of live rats: https://www.cottonwoodresearch.org/dmt-pineal-2013/

Yeah I knew about that which is just another reason to safely assume the same thing is going on with human beings.

Yep mammals share a lot physiologically.
