Oh, you were in the other thread about __________. Hello again. I should have recognized that signature picture. I hope you are having a lovely day. post any more songs you think are worthy in the future, please.
Edit... I am pretty sure I should not have mentioned where I saw you posting last. I apologize for that little breach in personal security. I replaced the thread indicating word with a blank.

Great song. I've been listening to it for years. It raises a good point - humans are very egocentric. We might benefit from branching out by embracing other life forms.

Moondog is a fascinating composer. I love his use of horns and woodwind
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

I agree -- I have a dozen or so songs by him that I love and are at the top of my list... He's for sure one of the most brilliant composers that ever graced our earth -- and he lived a long time and composed a lot! His last concert was 1999.
It's a beautiful way to enter the sacred, I would say......... that is - to go from language, music, to stillness, and such... I.e., from one realm to another more or less...
His music is also non-pretentious, I would say. It seems to just sit there, and say, 'I am here,' for whenever we want to hear it... or, 'I remain,'
He would do something similar in real life -- standing still on the street... perfect stillness, in the bustle of downtown City...
You mentioned horns and flute -- this is one of the first songs I heard by him, and one when I was blown away; the first one is on piano from his last concert in '99; the latter version was on wind instrument, back in '77 or thereabouts... (give or take)
At first it took me a bit to get used to the latter; but I love them both equally, now.
Elf Dance
I can't find the old version of the album song -- it's on there, but with a different pic... I just love the old pic so much. He looked like a wizened sage sitting on a log in a forest. Awesome.
i also wrote this last night, before sleep.... now i gotta get ready for work -- be back later!
Yes!! Very much so... For instance, -- human and cat, tree, i mean - birds, but the birds fly away when the cat is free.. and cats of course should always be free. tho i still love birds the same of course... hey -- i bet you a buck that birds and cats could be friends -- i mean, critters imprint in infancy, -- those life long, familial connections seem to cross species borders quite easily. although there's always the exception to the rule, and i can see cats could be that for sure.. but yeah -- what we can learn from them! Is there any (wild) animal who is not .. pretty dang close to -- if not enlightened, then 100% aligned with their natural state of being, or true nature? and isn't that what we are really trying for, or at least, a better or fuller term? anyway : ) but yeah - i mean turtles, owls, eagles, cats, -- everything else, trees, etc.. So much we can learn from all of them, whom are our cousins -- even trees, have like 95% of identical DNA, or something like that. But, as thought of before - one of the main things of course, is their ability to just sit there -- and not do anything... anyway peace peace and love.
