Dreaming about tripping

Last night I had this really weird dream where I took a bunch of different RC's with weird names i've never heard of (I don't actually remember what they were called, but I remember knowing at the time and they were weird.) After a few moments I actually started tripping really hard (euphoric body high, intense visuals, altered mindstate etc.) and it really surprised me because I didn't know you could actually trip in dreams. I've had 4 or 5 other dreams that I know of involving psych's, but in those dreams even if I ate the substance nothing happened so I figured it wasn't possible haha. Anyone else have any experiences tripping in dreams? I think it's really interesting that it's actually possible.

Very interesting dream report! I have heard of fairly odd sensations that can arise in dreams, such as being able to smell what is going which is unusual for most people. Cases of synesthesia are not uncommon in dreams though, which could be because we as a conscious are not supposed to be aware of the processes our brains go under during dreaming... Meaning that the reality that the brain is portraying in dreams is not based on external senses, unlike looking outside a window while awake would be, so it is likely flawed or at least much more leniant in terms of the realistic/synesthetic like content one experiences in real life reality.. As for my experience with tripping in dreams, I have been inebriated before. I can recall a dream where I was told I had taken LSD and felt so after being told that. I had another dream where I drank an entire bottle of some alcohol and actually felt "drunk" in the dream. Seems like the mind is capable of creating any reality you participate and have influence in, in dreams at least.

I have yet to have a dream where I am tripping or even just smoking weed it amazes me that I haven't. I feel like I at least would have had a dream of me getting stoned by now but it's just never happened. I don't know maybe once I get better at lucid dreaming which I was going to start taking up.
I have done cocaine in my dreams though multiple times which is strange. And yes it felt like I was actually on coke.

Do you recall how you felt in the dream after doing cocaine? Just curious. Seems like there is potential that "what you think is what you become" is a reality in dreams. Or at least, what you think you did is what you think you become.
Diving a little too deep here, as always.

Yea it felt like I was actually on cocaine. It's strange because I'm not even that experienced with it and have only a handful of times but my mind was somehow able to remember it or bring it back.
I've probably had at least 3 dreams where I've done coke but I can only recall 2 right now. The first one that happened was like the kind of dream an addict would have or something lol; I remember just having like this unlimited amount of cocaine just piles and piles of it and package after package and I was just by myself sniffing and sniffing and sniffing....Lol and when I woke up I remember being so upset when I woke up because I realized that was all just a dream and that I really didn't have all that cocaine and it sucked ha. I thought I was gonna be rich or have such an unlimited supply.
My second dream was much more mild and more realistic and it happened in a nighttime setting. It was at some house party somewhere (it may have even been a high school party)but I and a bunch of other people were kind of grouped in this bathroom and the cops just came to the house or something like that and someone was like "Get rid of the coke" and I just snorted 1 line and felt high from it and then I don't remember what happened after that.

Those are very interesting dreams. I'm not much for the far reaching dream interpretations with predictions for luck and like other future predicting things, but I love the mysticalness of the experiences: experiencing being conscious in a reality that is completely created without external influence.
Like, you have to wonder, why did you have one dream with much more realistic perimeters and another that was more fantasy driven with the cocaine use? It has to mean something, as it is a product of your mind, the powerful thing.
I had a dream where I found a huge pile of cigarette ash in the middle of an empty street intersection, and for some odd reason of attraction, I could not help but go right over to it and start scooping handfuls in my mouth like a fat man binging on his favorite chips. I still can recall the distinct salty but burnt residue flavor it had, something I have never tasted in real life and probably never will... As I assume cigarette ash does not taste salty. I just cannot help but wonder if these internal experiences lack the barriers physical reality creates in the mind through stimulus of the senses, creating a world similar to tripping, every night. -Diving deep as always

I've dreamed about taking ecstasy and LSD (twenty years after my last dose!).
I've also experienced mania and psychosis, and I've dreamed about those states too. I always thought it was weird to dream you were hallucinating because what exactly is a dream, anyway? It takes you deep into the mysteries of consciousness.
And I've dreamed that I could dream the future. Now that was pretty mind-bending!

I don't think anyone can say what a dream is, just like we cannot say what a psychadelic trip is, or what a trip to India is like. Well, we can with language, but our words are lacking and we always, always need more nuanced definitions for our experiences, which is all they can be said to be. Experiences. A dream is an experience, just like your every day reality, and it lacks external stimuli. Those are the only two things I am sure about with dreams: that they lack external stimuli and can be experiences. So then, the brain is always building your reality whether it be stimulated by the external world in awake experience, or mostly be stimulated by the internal world in sleep experience, reality seems to always originate in the mind. "To be is to be percieved" -George Berkeley
Your reality is from your mind, so of course if it has manifested in a state of mania or psychosis in your awake life, it can create such a state in your dreams I would have to assume.

Sorry I must of missed this post but ya it does sort of make me wonder but I too am not someone who looks deeply into dreams even though I consciously know they probably all mean something. I'm high right now and just thinking what the fuck is dreaming anyways? Lol anyways I think the reason one was more fantasy (not to say it wasn't realistic in some sense) because idk all dreams are different you know and they did happen at totally separate times in my life but my relationship to cocaine was practically non existent between them.
I think the first dream was more about just me having a large almost unlimited amount of something I've felt was valuable and then woken up and been pissed off and in this case it was just cocaine because I've had dreams like that before about other things even weed now that I think about it but I never got high or anything in the dreams.
That cigarette ash story is trippy and interesting. I've probably had pretty weird ones like that before. All very strange. I heard most of the dreams we have on a nightly basis are for the most part normal but we tend to remember the stranger ones.

I just had a dream last night that i took a heavy dose of acid. I felt everything from the lsd in my dream and was having crazy visuals.
It was extra weird because im going to be taking 200-250ug tonight! I figure maybe there will be some deja vu from the dream.
I experience deja vu nearly every single day. Im always dreaming about everyday life, like im dreaming the future sometimes lol
The dream was intense so im eager to do it in real life now

The night before my first mushroom trip I dreamt about harvesting and eating shrooms and then sitting with a friend on a hill overlooking the city and we saw these giant mushrooms towering over the skyline

i have had a similar experience once... i actually dream about tripping a lot. the first time was a sort of sleep paralysis where i couldnt control the hallucinations and i got scared because it felt like something was in the room with me. i was able to wake up and fall back asleep and after i did i would get pushed straight back into tripping. another dream i had was so intense i cant even believe it... i took some rc's (not sure what) and later on i had extremely intense visuals and felt a HUGE body high i was freaking out in my dream because of how powerful the feeling was. when i woke up it was like all of the body high slowly leaked out of my body and i felt slightly fatigued from it for the rest of the day. its crazy to think that my brain can do that... i wonder if it means something, but i think its just that i think about tripping all the time lol

You're strange psilo princess ! I enjoy tripping as well but find the reality bending insight and powers it gives ya can be a bit too much. I wish I was a fiend like you and thought about tripping all the time.
I just had a dream where a big man told me to only grow my two cubensis strains from China and India, but he did not tell me why not to grow the others. I have 4 "strains" of Cubensis spores total right now, and have been pondering which to grow first. I guess I know now Not a dream about tripping, but still a pretty trippy dream

It's a quote from fear and loathing in Las Vegas movie where Johnny Depp walks up on benecio's character in the bathtub and says "omg did you eat all this acid? You better pray to God there's some fucking thorazine in that bag"

That movie is weird as fuck haha. I watched it on acid and when that part came on I could of sworn I started tripping like ten times harder for a few minutes haha. It's almost like I could feel how hard he must've been tripping. Was a little hard to keep it together for a sec. Funny as fuck movie to trip to regardless though.

That's pretty awesome, the human brain certainly is interesting. I've had dreams sort of similar to sleep paralysis (I wasn't paralyzed, but I don't really know what else to call them).
It's happened twice, i'd wake up in my room and there'd be this really weird but real life feeling atmosphere to the room, and everything in my room would be exactly the way it was when I fell asleep.
It's kind've hard to explain, but like for me (not sure if it's like this for everyone) I can tell whether I am or was dreaming because the dream realm just has this very far off unrealistic (when it's compared to our reality at least) feel to it. While these dreams feel so real that I honestly cannot tell whether it was just extremely strange dream or if what I saw actually happened.'
The first one, I woke up on my floor where I had fallen asleep and everything seemed pretty normal, besides this really weird feeling that I had. It was like the feeling of this presence being in the room with me. My t.v was on illuminating the room just as it had been when I fell asleep, and I was facing my closet door.
All of a sudden the door opens up and this really ghostly looking white cat with white eyes walks out of the darkness and just stands there and stares at me for a second. It completely scared the shit out of me so I jumped up to go for the bedroom light. As soon as I stood up I instantly felt like I snapped out of a trance or something and when I looked back in the closet there was nothing there.
It was pretty strange, and ever since then I always see ghostly looking cats or cats made out of shadows when I trip. I've always wondered what it means.
Next one, I don't really wanna make this very much longer so i'll just sum it up as shortly as possible. Same sort of atmosphere to my room, but this time I was sitting on my bed and this really intense sensation flowed through my body and it made me fall to the floor.
When it went away I noticed my door was open even though I know had it locked a little bit ago. I looked into the hallway and I saw two tall aliens standing at the top of the stairs just stareing at me.
They were pretty muscular looking kind've, with humanoid shaped heads and bodies. Except they had black and blue scaly skin, no mouths, their limbs were longer than the average human, and they had huge eyes as black as night that seemed to be looking deep into my soul (looked very similar to stereotypical Grey eyes).
The emotions I had at the time were extreme fear, but also wonder. The thoughts I had were very all over the place. I wanted to scream and run, but at the same time I didn't know what their intentions were so I wanted to go towards them out of curiosity.
The last thing I remember is having another strange sensation go through my body, feeling as if I was about to pass out, then I sprung awake on my bed again. Didn't sleep for the next two nights haha.
I know they aren't really like sleep paralysis, but I imagine that the sort of atmosphere I felt during those dreams is similar to what alot of people feel during sleep paralysis.

Possibly. Some people do say that sleep in general is a taste test of death. If there doesn't happen to be an afterlife than what we will experience will most likely be like an infinite dreamless sleep. So I guess it could be possible that the afterlife will be like an infinite dream.

What a light way to portray an what would be an insane LSD trip, I love it. In relation to the thread again, has anyone taken a dose and fallen back asleep to wake up tripping?

I had a friend who took 15 extremely strong gel tabs one night and tripped hella hard all night and was still pretty gone when I left the next morning. I wasn't there to see it so I can't 100% confirm this, but he supposedly ended up falling asleep awhile later after he had come down a good amount and when he woke up was full blown tripping at peak level again, and was tripping up until late that night.
