Pretty sure I'm having seizures

Of course I only just figured this out After I got home from the hospital. It's probably from ceasing my medication (haldol). The thing is I brought it up with my mom and she doesn't believe me. I'm 99% sure this is happening. She won't take me back to the ER again. My luck is just the worst
I wonder also if I developed epilepsy after that guy hit me in the head with a liquor bottle multiple times

No, ibuprofen won't help. Taking your meds might, or trying other ones given to you by a doctor.

Tell ibuprofen to go fuck itself.
That's shitty op, i keep having these dreams in the middle of sleep paralysis where i just lay in bed having a seizure. Now when I'm in a bad dream in SP the main goal is to shake ANY body part enough to snap myself awake, so i always wake up shaking my hand.
I always wonder if maybe I'm actually having one but just rationalizing it to not be so bad because i don't want to admit i might have them?
Idk. Can i ask you if you are aware mid seizure? Or do you just like go faint and blackout and wake up and just no you had a seizure?
That's really scary though and i feel for you op. Sending good vibes and all that.
But as for ibuprofen, maaaaybe it'll help, i really don't know, but i know it's bullshit for pain management and headaches.

There is a discontinuation syndrome for haldol and other anti-psychotic meds. There's gotta be a mental health clinic in your county. Give them a call or talk to their crisis team. Someone should be able to help you.

I thought everyone got free health care if you make no money now. Is that just my state? It's kind of a PITA to sign up but I thought that was part of Obamacare. It's not medicaid tho, it's through an insurance company but the state pays.

Anti-psychotic discontinuation can cause seizures. Call a mental health person. They gotta know a lot about neurology to prescribe psych meds.
Not that it's going to be as bad as alcohol DT's. I remember stopping psych meds for 9 years. Had great and horrible times.

My bad, I genuinely thought you were trolling.
Try to call your doctor, or a health care professional at least. If you feel like it's necessary, call 911.
You should not start tapering off Haldol without the assistance of your doctor. It's not a drug you can just quit abruptly.

Terrible advice.
You need medical attention now. Is your neck stiff and are you having trouble closing your mouth?
Quote:
Patients arrive with peculiar posturing or difficulty speaking, and are usually quite upset and worried that they are having a stroke. Often there is no history offered at all--the patient may not be able to speak, may not be aware he took any phenothiazines or butyrophenones (e.g., Haldol has been used to cut heroin), may not admit he takes psychotropic medication, or may not make the connection between symptoms and drug (e.g., one dose of Compazine given for vomiting). Acute dystonias usually present with one or more of the following symptoms: buccolingual: protruding or pulling sensation of tongue torticollic: twisted neck, or facial muscle spasm oculogyric: roving or deviated gaze tortipelvic: abdominal rigidity and pain opisthotonic: spasm of the entire body These acute dystonias can resemble partial seizures, the posturing of psychosis, or the spasms of tetanus, strychnine poisoning, or electrolyte imbalances. More chronic neurologic side effects of phenothiazines, including the restlessness of akathisia, tardive dyskinesias, and Parkinsonism, do not usually respond as dramatically to drug treatment as the acute dystonias./quote]
Is that what is happening? If so:
Quote:
What to do:
Give 50mg of diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and watch for improvement of the dystonia

He's suffering from drug induced dystonia. He shouldn't be smoking weed. He needs to go to the hospital, or at least take benedryl.

A lot of republican run states opted out of Medicaid expansion. They pretty much fucked over people for some stupid ideology.
