My ebay filter works just fine, as did my still air box when that's all I had. When I said risk it i mean't that the seller doesnt like to ship UPS with the big filters because hes had some claim damaged. But $60 for a chance at a 2x4 99.99 filter is worth it if you aren't poor. Don't be mad because your "joke" was stupid.

personally I'd rather sit on an anthill than spend another minute working in a sab, not sure why I even keep it around anymore.

Looks like a glovebox, not a SAB. I'd rather fuck an anthill than work in that too. ...oh you said sit. Yea. That.

Yea unfortunately where I live if the ac isn't running 24/7 I will burst into flames so had to use the gloves. I can cut the ac off for an hour in one room to use the hood since the breeze makes it bearable.
That's my poo collecting hat, like it?

I think they are just wanna get second opinions before I dump 100$ on a filter lol

A good SAB is the way to go. A flow hood is not some magical cultivation savior, it's still quite easy to get contamination using one. 50 bucks on a risky purchase seems silly to me. 100 dollars for just the filter for a LFH VS. 10 bucks for a SAB. OP, your call.

Unless you're getting a fan for free a hood is about 4-500$ to build but it makes life easier as far as more wiggle room but spending 10$ for something that can be just as sterile is a better way to go op if you want a flow hood go ahead and buy it but what you want is something with 1" water column at 4-500 cfm anything less then that and you will waste your money mine is 1.4 rated at 2000 cfm so at .4" of static pressure is 500 cfm I just put a plastic tub over the fan to bog it down cause it was a furnace fan

I agree with noob47..but dont forget!! a SAB isnt about 'sterile' its about still air.

It depends on what you're doing. If you just pasteurize bulk and use the sab for plates and jars, that's fine. Try inoculating sterile bags in you sab. It's a pain in the ass and not feasible for those using sterilized sub. Especially when you do 60 bags at a time.

Well everyone I'm currently running a SAB will attach pics later but I am inoculating spawn bags and it is a hassle for me quite frankly because of limited space and honestly I get hot lmao so I've decided to build one.
My aseptic technique is up to par I believe
I will do a build thread and reviews of the filter and which one I get shortly
While everyone's here so I have to PC at my friends then transport my agar should I pre pour in dishes then sterilize or sterilize it in a jar or something then pour in dishes of course all pouring is done in SAB
