From REAL liberal-leaning left-wing internet sites, that's how. Places like Cracked or Salon or Alternet, for example. These are real left-wing sources, not anything you would see in mainstream media.
so you would believe that acorn was vindicated of voter fraud because a liberal source said so
sounds like you live the life of confirmation bias
is MSNBC biased toward democrats?
So, 18 former ACORN workers were convicted or admitted guilt in election fraud for no reason?
do you know what the word vindicated or what the word fake means? sources like the huffington post tried to claim it was a smoke screen, same with MSNBC
Quote:
If the media are so liberal, why did they run the fake ACORN voter fraud stories & the faked ACORN video stings, then virtually ignore it when ACORN was vindicated and proven innocent of both?
Quote:
I don't watch MSNBC regularly enough to make a conclusion about them myself. But I do believe that mainstream media in general is not biased for or against Democrats or Republicans.
I mean really, if there was truly such a liberal bias in media, the Occupy Wall Street protests wouldn't have gotten such negative coverage.
lol. you clearly dont understand the rules of media liberalism, occupy wall street goes against what the democrats want but the bulk of that negative coverage didnt come from the liberal media sources like NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, etc... it came from sources like Fox, of course the liberal media does have to pick up some of it with their NEWS broadcasts, unlike with their political commentary, something that the liberals have a hard dine distinguishing between the two
remember that Katie Couric/Sarah Palin interview on CBS, she did the same interview with Joe Biden, now one of the things she asked of both "to name any decisions by the United States Supreme Court that she disagreed with?" of course Palin stammered a bit and biden answered with "that one I wrote, about battered women and the reason I disagree with it is because they struck it down"
neither could actually name the decision, neither named anything but the liberal media went wild, it was all over all the liberal sources I neamed earlier but not one ripped into joe biden, they didnt seem to rip him on his policy gaffes, his drunken buffoonery or is condescending and racially charged comments
now you can try to claim the majority of media isnt biased, but the evidence is there

You're just having a hard time accepting that the matrix you accept as reality...isn't really reality. And you will continue to struggle with this until a flip gets switched in your brain/psyche/whatever and you're able to see it clearly for what is is. I'm sorry if that just seems like a "convenient" thing for me to say, but that's how it is.
And just in case you missed it:

They have done this many times. In fact, Trump supporters have gotten a lot of air time on news stations like CNN
A quick 2-second search brought this up on CNN:
http://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2016/08/26/charles-blow-paris-dennard-heated-exchange-trump-clinton-race-newday-intv.cnn
Did CNN try to cut off the Trump supporters, try to censor them or silence them, make them look stupid, or disagree with them? No, they gave both positions ample air time, allowed them to speak, and exchange their views with little interruption. That's how it should be, and that's exactly what they did.

I like that news piece on HLN (owned by Turner) where they interviewed a man who saved a baby. He was wearing a Trump shirt in the interview and they blurred out his shirt.

Where are all the union defenders in the "liberal" media? http://fair.org/...
If the media are so liberal, why do they keep focusing on debt/deficit/austerity and not the arguments against austerity that all the liberal economists are making?
If the media are so liberal, why did they ignore the 2011 Tar Sands protests in DC and the hundreds of arrested protesters, including a renowned NASA scientist?
If the media are so liberal, why have they completely ignored the controversy surrounding the drilling of the Alberta Tar Sands?
If the media are so liberal, why did they parrot Bush's link between Iraq & 9/11, and his claim that Iraq still had WMD's, while ignoring the many experts who could disprove these claims?
If the media are so liberal, why did they cheerlead us into the Iraq war, while censoring those who opposed it?
If the media are so liberal, why did they virtually ignore the largest anti-war protest in the history of mankind on the eve of the Iraq invasion in 2003, but have since given plenty of mostly uncritical coverage of much smaller Tea Party protests?
If the media are so liberal, why did they give so much free publicity to Paul Ryan's "brave", "heroic" budget plan

If the media are so liberal, why did they run the fake ACORN voter fraud stories & the faked ACORN video stings, then virtually ignore it when ACORN was vindicated and proven innocent of both?
If the media are so liberal, then why do the "liberal" TV stations gladly air tons of liberal-bashing campaign ads by right-wing groups?
If the media are so liberal, why do they keep covering-up for Wall Street and hiding the rampant criminality there?
If the media are so liberal, why was their coverage of right-winger Margaret Thatcher's controversial legacy so fawning and one-sided?
If the media are so liberal, why did they ignore proven and admitted GOP election fraud?
If the media are so liberal, why is there a virtual news blackout of the Trans-Pacific Partnership controversy?
If the media are so liberal, why did they virtually ignore the biggest climate change rally in US history on Februray 17?
Since then, I've seen plenty of right-wing guests on the news urging Obama to approve Keystone and criticizing him for delaying it (even just this morning on MSNBC, with zero argument from the host!), but nobody to explain why there's a huge movement against it.
If the media are so liberal, why did they constantly demonize leftist Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, even promoting anti-Chavez disinfo?
If the media are so liberal, why do they treat far-right views as mainstream?
If the media are so liberal, why was coverage of Occupy Wall Street mostly hostile or dismissive?"
The media has a heavy liberal and establishment bias. I'm not going to go through and address every point of your psychotic rant. If you can't see that the media favors establishment democrats then there's no hope for you.

I'm sorry if that just seems like a "convenient" thing for me to say, but that's how it is.
For the record: I am familiar with news in other countries, and have watched news from many different parts of the world. I have always said that mainstream American media is subpar and lacks global information and doesn't adequately display current events from all over the world like other countries' news stations do.
American media focuses more on controversial, "trendy" stories that will target higher audience ratings, rather than the assessment of real current events. Like the fact that Janet Jackson's tittie or Kobe Bryant's personal life got an entire fucking week of front-page headlines and air time. Which is fucking ridiculous when you consider what happened in the rest of the world during those weeks. Or the fact that news stations started adding 5-10 minutes of air time to cover cute animals.... just.... why?!!?!?!!?!? Fuck those animals
I am also aware that all mainstream news organizations are owned by the same 7 corporate conglomerates. I am constantly always questioning every story that I read, which is why I collect 3 or 4 different sources on the same story in order to try to receive as much information about it as possible.
However, the whole "liberal bias" in the MSM is just that, a myth. Do you really think that if billionaire conglomerates owned all the news stations, that THEY would have a liberal bias? Billionaires and CEO's tend to be conservative, because it pertains to their political and financial interest.
So, I will agree that the MSM holds corporate interests and has a corporate bias. But if it does have a corporate bias, then it does not have a liberal bias. You cannot have a liberal bias while serving corporate interests at the same time. The two are antagonistic to each other.

Oh okay, I see what you're saying. Well yes, they wouldn't allow any one of us to be political commentators on a TV show, because we don't have any credentials.
Usually they hire professors or people who work for politicians or political think-tanks or organizations to do the commentaries, or some other established type of person who has some sort of name and esteem and reputation for themselves.
They wouldn't ask me to go on the show to give my opinion either, that doesn't mean there's a conservative bias. I'm just not the right person to be giving my opinion and be debating on TV about those kind of matters.
People claim MSNBC has one of the biggest liberal biases, yet here they are giving a random Trump supporter air time:
This isn't mainstream media, but even super left-wing organizations like The Young Turks have given ample amounts of air time to Trump supporters. And for the record I don't like the Young Turks, I think the stories they cover are mostly lame, and their commentary serves to cater to politically correct millenials. But I'm just putting this out there to prove that even SUPER left-wing fringe news outlets have interviewed Trump supporters:

I'm currently engaged in an on going debate/argument with a friend over hillary.
I personally feel they are both unfit for presidency. And while of course he would agree with me on trump, he asked why I thought she was unfit.
Spending months lurking all your guy's political debates, which fuelled my own fact checking, I thought I'd have a solid claim to why I don't think hillary is fit for presidency.
For 3 days I've been trying to demonstrate her character(her lying), her corruption (her finances and email deleting, etc) and her blood on her hands
3 days later and many heated messages later....all my links I've sent him isn't evidence he says. Just claims. Just opinions and just "right wing bias"
I also claimed a lot of his rebuttal links were left wing bias and tried to prove it as you all are with crystal
He wants absolute proof like this is a peer reviewed science experiment or something.
I feel the data is overwhelming to form a reasonable opinion that she's a piece of shit.
My friend sounds so identical to crystals responses.
I'm combing this thread hoping to find that smoking gun I can present to him. Something that will make him open his eyes
He knows assange supposedly has more to expose but it's just another claim and "why is he holding on to it"
So I'm enjoying this dialogue. I'm piggy backing off all this talk like a mofo
I know nothing of politics in my own country let alone the states. I also don't really subscribe to any one party. Why do people box themselves in like that?

Tell him to read the 302 on Hillarys FBI interview. You cannot read that and still have confidence in Hillary as a candidate. But just saying, even if Hillary were indicted tomorrow, there'd still be people saying that it's a "vast right-wing conspiracy inspired by misogyny." Most Hilary supporters are too far gone to reason with.

Well, it's clear to anyone paying attention that the FBI should've charged her. They decided to let her pass and didn't enforce the law. They knowingly and willfully let her break the laws. Comey even said that anyone else who does the same thing she does would've likely been charged. He obviously didn't read the 302. The 302 will shut him up. She testified that she is incompetent because of her brain damage. That's not editorialized or anything. She testified that because of her concussion and subsequent blood clot that she often forgot intelligence briefings right after they happened, that she didn't know what information was classified and what information wasn't classified, she didn't know what the classification markings meant and didn't know how to handle classified information. Of course she is lying about her incompetence because she was caught red handed. Of course she knowingly and willfully ignored classification markings and treated classified information carelessly. She is competent enough to know that what she was doing was wrong. She was competent enough to order than her sever be wiped clean of 45,000 with bleachbit a couple weeks after the NYT disclosed that she had a private server. She was competent enough to have 12 blackberries smashed with hammers so the content would be irrecoverable.
Her corruption is blatantly obvious to anyone with half a brain. Call your friend a half-wit and move on with your day, it's a lot easier than reasoning with stupidity.

Naw, I'm just remarking at the fact that you used that particular example to show that MSNBC interviews Trump supporters. The same segment that shows MSNBC cutting the clip because it showed a black Trump supporter sitting next to a white Trump supporter talking real talk about bogus racial divides and coming together to support Trump. The reporter then starts making excuses saying "well obviously most black people don't like Trump, this was an exception".
And on and on it goes.
