^these are two sets of different mushrooms i found in my neighborhood

on 3 different lawns
all the brown ones from the first two pictures were in one lawn
and the white ones in the next two were spread across two different lawns in the same neighborhood

-it was in house lawn grass. no real significant trees nearby.
-it is in southwestern idaho, near boise, Idaho in a town called caldwell. pretty dry. pretty warm climate
-the gills match the color of the overall mushroom. one set was white, one set was brown
-stem was just white on the white ones. but the brown ones seem to have a white fade on the very bottom tip of the stem. (some dont but i may have ripped it off.)
-they dont smell very good. they kinda just smell like mushrooms i might find at the supermarket that i could eat. i cant really compare the smell to anything particular.
-the brown ones seem to have a golden tint to them and look a fade of yellow from some angles

spore print the brown ones, they might be Panaeolus cinctulus, the print should be jet black if they are cinctulus.

The white ones are garbage, Conocybe apala.

I'm about to head to work but i might be able to do it tomorrow. is there a limited amount of time i would need to print them after being picked?

and could the brown ones be similar to a poisonous species? or might they only be hallucinogenic vs non-hallucinogenic.

i used to weigh weed but no longer have a scale.. so just guessing id say i have about 2grams. after grabbing some more this morning.

Panaeolus Cintulus HERE WE GO.

No offense, but don't ever ingest any mushroom unless you're 100% sure of what it is.  You should read a bit about mushrooms poisoning, it will make your butthole pucker from how gnarly it is.

When in doubt, throw it out, don't risk your health for a high.

The Doctor is a good man, he didn't mean anything rude by that statement, he just wanted you to achieve full benefits from your find.  You see some active Panaeolus are weak, so you might find 20 specimens one day, then save those until you find more the next day, and more after that, until you have saved up enough for a proper trip.  No sense in wasting what you found because you don't have the patience to wait until you have enough for lift off.

The reason I said to spore print your mushrooms, was so that you didn't ingest Panaeolina foenisecii, which is not toxic, but not active either, and they look a lot like active Panaeolus mushrooms.

Some people think mushrooms reward those that are diligent in their hunt for them, only revealing themselves to those that have put in the effort, so next time document your find with pics, spore print your find, then wait for a trusted identifier to chime in before ingesting.

:dealershrooms:

Growing them yourself is relatively simple, safer and the mushies are more potent.
