Peruvian Torch Question?
    #2358976 - 02/20/04 12:58 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I recently went to a garden center and found a cactus that closly resembles what I've seen as San Pedro or Peruvian Torch. All the label says on it is "Peruvianus," does anyone know if this is in fact a Peruvian Torch or could it be something else?

i don't trust labels for shit at most places, unless it's strictly a nursery.

many places seem to just sick a random cactus in a pot, along with a random label and by coincidence sometimes they match.

find a bunch of peruvianus pictures. maybe even print some off to take with you.

make sure you can identify it, without relying on the label.

Cereus Peruvianus are very common in garden centers. If you saw the two side by side, youd definately see the difference, but without knowing and not owning any already itd be easy to mistake one for the other.
