Tis the season in NJ
    #23589712 - 08/29/16 11:22 AM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Hi all, just thought I'd share a few find from NE New Jersey
Boletes, Boletes, Boletes
B.auripes, Black Velvet Bolete (Tylopilus albeoater) and unknown orange top probable Bolete - too small to pick initially and gone when I returned. There were also lots of bicolor.

A few more

Plus some laetiporous and red chanterelle

Oysters are also out.

Happy Hunting!
G

Thanks relic -  obviously  not the Day-Glo orange chicken I intended to post but as colorful and the description matches my observation so your ID is right on. Thanks for that.

I picked the large B. Auripes (butter foot?) and it was delicious grilled  and the same for black velvet which were good too but the pure white flesh turning black was a bit freaky. The pics were from last week and I went back on Saturday hoping for a few more but all were gone… That's life.
Be well,
G
