Possible psilocybe semilanceata - Identification request

I found some mushrooms and kept them in my pocket. It was a sunny day and I was outside for hours, so the heat dried the mushrooms out completely. I have tried to describe them before and after drying.
Habitat: Growing in the UK woods, around some trees and quite high up. Growing in dirt, with some sunlight shining down through the trees.
Gills: Brown/grey color, visible in dried photo. Slightly light in some places.
Stem: About 8cm long roughly, only a few millimetres thin. Soft feeling when fresh, now very crusty when dry. Color was very light brown when I picked them, but now almost black in color. Feels fairly solid but not sure.
Cap: 2cm diameter roughly, light brown around the edges and dark in the center. Looks like a liberty cap, nearly identical to photos online. Very conical with a dark spot in the middle. After drying, the caps are black, and about 1cm in size.
Spore print color: Unknown I'm afraid, because the mushrooms have dried and the caps have flattened.
Bruising: The mushrooms are black and dried, so they are too crusty to bruise I think. The caps still feel soft but the stem is very dry.
Other information: Smell is very sharp and nasty. Smells like old sweat up close, but there is no smell a few inches away from the mushrooms. The smell made me gag, but I've never smelled these mushrooms before. The mushrooms were dry when I smelled them. The dry shrooms are completely blackened apart from the gills. I was out for a couple of hours, but when I got home they had turned black (as in the picture). They are still flexible and soft, but very dark and smelly.

Oh dear haha. They look identical to pictures like (click here) I also said they smelled terrible, but they are only a few hours old so hopefully they're not moldy.
Also, they were growing near the edge of the woods. A lot of sun was shining on them. They were growing between the woods and grassy areas? I forgot to say that, if that's any help.

They don't look identical to those. mushrooms in your link are probably Panaeolus sp. They have dark spores (you can see them deposited on the stem) and likely have dark gills, whereas your mushroom has light gills. They are also more robust and growing in a different habitat than the mushrooms you collected.

Also, about the nasty smell? I can only smell it up close, but it's sharp and makes me gag. Do I need to dry them out and/or clean them with something? They're very fresh, although they've been in my pocket for a couple of hours. That's why they dried out in the heat. I appreciate all the fast replies!

I wouldn't eat them if that is what you are implying... I think most Mycena sp. are edibility unknown, and this is certainly not a psychoactive mushroom.

Yeah you're right, the pictures aren't identical. The ones I found had a dark spot on a light cap, and the edges of the cap were frilly like a liberty cap. But I don't know many types of mushrooms, so any help is appreciated
After just a few hours from picking, they're dry, black and smelly (sorry I keep saying that). Should I just make shroom tea or something to reduce chances of poisoning? Haha I'm determined to try shrooms and I don't find them very often. I've done a lot of research on trips too. This is why I'm quite eager to try them

Definitely not active, definitely do not eat them in any form; tea or otherwise.

Yep, I took another whiff of the mushrooms and I nearly died. The smell was so toxic, that I'm actually scared of touching those mushrooms now They made me jump out the way and hyperventilate ahaha. Sadly I'll have to throw them away

A lot of Mycena have funky or nitrous smells. Some I like.

Yeah, I found it a little worse than funky though hahaha (probably cause they're drying out and releasing gas). I can definitely say they looked like Mycena. I think this sadly confirms that I'm not tripping tonight, but thanks everyone for being so fast at helping me with this! You guys are amazing.

Sorry to bother you again, but I realised my mushrooms smell like bleach. At first I couldn't specify the smell, cause it was so strong it made me gag. But after reading about Mycena mushrooms, I can say that the smell is identical to bleach.
Is this variety of Mycena a psychedelic mushroom? I understand there are many species of Mycena, so it is hard to identify. At least I now know that the odor is normal. I haven't thrown the mushrooms away; they are dried and sealed in a bag. Only one day old now. Thanks in advance!

What does it mean if a mushroom is not active? Is that a bad thing?

Active = psychoactive in this context.
Saying a mushroom is non-active means it isn't psychedelic/magic.

Ah I understand. Some forms of Mycena mushrooms are active, but others aren't. I've just read that some Mycena mushrooms can be potentially toxic, so I think I'm just gonna throw them out Thanks for all the help though!
