cubensis affected by gentamycin sulfate ?

hello, I read in TMC about the use of gentamycin sulfate in agar media to prevent development of bacillus, but is stated that some species of mushrooms are adversly affected by this antibiotic : so can someone tell me if the cubensis are affected in any way by gentamycin sulfate, and if not what is the dosage for 1 liter of Potatoe Dextrose Agar and under what form should I use it ? thanks for any help Pedro

Work on sterilization teks before using any sort of antibiotic . No it will not harm P.cubes . But why add this if you can stop contams naturally ?
Page 20 of TMC ..., 0 .10 grams of 60-80% pure gentamycin sulfate to each litre of media prior to sterilization.

thank you I hadn't seen the mention in TMC, I don't have a problem for now apparently since this translucent gelly I have seems to be normal according to the answers I got on the website. just checking about the technique thanks a lot Pedro

Got a pic of this "jelly " you mentioned , and if in grain gent will not help there , that sounds like inproper prep of grain , or a contam that may have got in during innoc .
