WBS. Agar to grain. inoculated a little over a week ago. GT spores to agar originally.

Looks pretty wet in there is that post office tyvek? Right now it will be hard to tell if it's going to be good to use but for a week it looks like its colonizing pretty good

Yep that's tyvek. the rest of the jar is fully colonized. It's my first time using WBS. That moisture towards the lid didn't start forming until recentlyz

i was just curious about it since ive only used the stuff i get at the post office. for a moment i though id been using the wrong kind. not in the mood for any massive since i have a rather large amount of quarts going. half with tyvek half with polyfil(trying to see which i prefer)
of course SFD will be for my next batch but ive already primed enough shit recently

Just use a hole with poly and another hole with rtv silicone to noc , cover that with micro pore tape and bam you're good. All the extra tyvek is just more work. Plus the rtv silicone can be reused over and over just replace the polyfill

Rtv actually can create vectors for contams and bacteria because everytime you poke through it with the needle it rips in a way and you can get chunks of silicone in your jar from what I've read some people swear by them I think you can buy injection ports for pennies on the dollar which are safer
