weird shroom trip. should i do acid?

okay so i had my first real trip on shrooms. I ate 4.5 grams of gold caps. It was honestly a love hate trip. When i was peaking, my mind was so puzzled and i became anxious. I had a strong urge to take a shower(and so i did twice) which I did twice...and it relieved some anxiety for a while. I felt like the trip was gonna last forever and i wanted to end. I couldnt make sense of what i was seeing really. I couldnt imagine in my head where i was in my house. I couldnt think, i kept getting stuck in thought loops. I just had this weird feeling of being trapped then of being too vulnerable that i couldnt get out of. When i felt trapped i would go outside and look around but i would quickly get overwhelmed. And i would go back inside, where i had an urge to like cuddle in a blanket, where i went back to feeling trapped and i would sit down in the shower which would help. But on the come down, I could think straight again and oh boy I was in the happiest mood ever. I felt energetic, i couldnt stop smilimg, i wanted to talk to everyone, I had a strong urge to write and draw...greatest mood in my lifetime. And i fell asleep right after. I'm thinking of trying acid next, as i hear you feel more in control. (note: i dont consider this a bad trip, it was more of petty uncomfortable feelings that made me want out of the trip)

wanting out of the trip happens on the come down of the acid cus it just drags on, it feels like being super stoned on a strong sativa because its clear headed but its drags on, you just have to accept that you will be in that state of mind until it ends
I think thats something most of us trippers are very comfortable with, and as time goes on you get better at just going with the trip and just going along with and accepting the headspace
but yeah, try acid why not its just a bit more speedy feeling physically and mentally than shrooms, and lasts a few hours more

I've only did shrooms once so I'm not at all experienced with shrooms, but I have done LSD A LOT, so I'd consider myself relatively experienced with it.
What I can say is if you feel shrooms trips last too long then you will hate LSD. LSD lasts over twice as long as shrooms and for me personally a good 3-4 hours of that is the "fuck me I wish it would just go away". What I mean is that the trip is pretty much over with, the visuals are either shit or none existent and the euphoric/spiritual feeling is gone, yet you still feel it in your system.
I love LSD, but you have to prepare yourself for the long haul and prepare yourself for the inevitable "limbo" stage I call it at the end in which your just waiting for it to leave your system.
For me LSD is kinda temperamental, but changing something as small as a song or what you are looking at can make a trip go from spiraling downwards back to 100% amazing. I also go through a very self-conscious stage when I'm around people where I seem to worry about acting weird, saying the wrong thing or w/e even if the other person is my best friend and knows what tripping is like, but that can just be the LSD causing my personality to go into overdrive as I'm a self-conscious guy anyway, but it's why I prefer to take LSD alone.

That's a lot of mushrooms for a first time man. You should have done more research unfortunately.

He ate a shitload of mushrooms so that's why he wanted it to end. People who take normal doses of shrooms usually don't want it to end because the comedown tends to be the best part.
Plus shrooms tend to give way more time dilation so they kind of end up feeling way longer than acid anyways.

you just need to let go and flow with the experience. fighting it and struggling to make sense of it at the time did you in. don't do that.

I like your note saying you don't consider it a bad trip. That gives me an idea of your head space and would say, sure, try acid. But... I think you would benefit from more preparation. Tripping solo can be intense. If you're with someone you know you can both pull each other out of funky spaces. Having someone in the same mindset that you can relate to is really fun. I'd also be prepared for and/or plan to not stay inside. Paying attention to what the trip is telling you to do and acting on it makes the whole thing go smoother. As long as you're being safe, that is.
LSD does last longer which I often like. Ive never really had "shit, I wish this trip would just end" moments though.
Also as mentioned above with music, little changes can make big changes in your trip. And yeah, don't try to figure it out. Just go with it!

The comedown for me was the best part. It was during the peek that things started getting a little crazy for me. But when I came down, it was the best ever. I didnt want it to end. I think I'll do a lower dose next time though. 2g maybe. I think I may have made the trip sound worse than it was. I'll note that these feelings described were all petty like. More like annoyances. More like insatiable urges. (Impossible to satisfy). I ended up wasting most of my peek trying to figure out what was bothering me. Thats what I meant when I wanted the trip to end. It was getting annoying and bothersome. I'm a deep thinker and having my thought process compromised agitated me. I wanted those deep philosophical thoughts people always experience. Which I did experience, on the comedown. So yes, I enjoyed the trip. I'll also like to note that I was well aware that 4.5g was a large dose for a beginner, and I was well aware of what I was getting into. I remained sane throughout the whole trip. Do you think that a lower dose will give me the visuals I want without the bogggled up headspace?

I find this is common that the deep thought usually happens on the comedown of any trip. Either that or if I'm tripping with the right people the comedown can be absolutely hilarious as we start coming back to reality but still find the absurdity of everything and can laugh about it.
While you're still going to have a distorted thought process on acid, I would say in my experience it is a more clear headed trip so you might get what you are looking for. Mushroom trips usually make my mind so far gone that I become a mute until the comedown although the confused mushroom thoughts can be philosophical in their own right. For example, one peak I forgot what a drug was and what happened to me so I explained to myself that I loaded new software into my brain and that the program had to run its course lol It made me feel better, I was just like "oh ok, so that feeling in my stomach is just the code being processed. Makes sense"

haha yep that's mushrooms alright
One of the themes of the trips I think is that you can never be 100% satisfied or comfortable and then you just stop trying to think about it or release and then the lovely comedown comes and things start falling into place after you get over the hump.
Yea that doesn't really happen on LSD at all.

Not sarcasm. LSD does not do this. There's also much more continuity throughout an LSD trip, mushrooms however are very dynamic and constantly changing.
