Don't worry, you'll be allowed all the space you need to prove yourself more intelligent, so long as you don't catch a ban in the interim.

I set a dehydrator to the lowest heat setting (85F) and allow to cracker dry. Otherwise for years I would just put them on a shelf in a room with the fan on. I thought I was the shit when I got a dehydrator

Innocuole knows his shit you clearly don't preserving potency is about the speed and overall thorough dryness
Oxidation reduces potency which occurs in the presence of moisture the longer the fruits stay moist the quicker they degrade dehydrators reduce drying time to hours over days, dehydrators dry to complete dryness no other method bar oven and fan will achieve this.
Learn the science before talking your uninformed cheap ass nonsense

For reference, 13 days ago, this guy refused to build a SGFC because he'd rather try to fan it or whatever.  So yeah, top notch source of advice.

Some people like to do things differently than others, no matter how much logic is in use. They will have subpar yields with subpar fruits and a subpar attitude to boot. I guess we collectively need to ignore those people and just keep threads packed with actual good info.

BTW, if you arent using a dehydrator then enjoy your inferior results.

I've tried fan drying and switched to a dehydrator I picked up on Amazon. It's the way to go if you constantly have mushrooms to dry.

Like you, this is something I can speak from experience on.. I used a desiccant chamber, I have used a box fan, and I have used the heater vent in my living room.
I now use a dehydrator (for a while now) and I noticed right away that the dryness I can achieve in a real dehydrator is FAAAR superior compared to the other methods I listed above. And the speed that I can dry, is a fraction of what those ghetto methods can do, which means increased potency.

Nice first post.
Welcome to the Shroomery!

Hell, I have a huge vacuum desiccator that doesn't even compare to my dehydrator in terms of speed and efficacy.

Nowadays I use this thing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008OV4FD0

It's basically the AA canner of the dehydrator world lol.
