Tennessee hayfield identification
    #23586462 - 08/28/16 10:40 AM (7 years, 5 months ago)

Found in the cow fields walking around with a friend looking for Indian pipe. Central tn. Some in the hay bails, some on ground near hay.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem:
Thin, skinny. Varied in length from 1.5 inch to 5ish. Whitish, almost translucent.

Cap:
Quarter to half inch diamter. Mostly black, but the black seems easily rubbed off and stains hands.

Spore print color:
Not done. Fell to pieces before I got home.

Bruising:
Not noticing any
