You probably want to veg for at least a month... Even that is very minimal. That being said you could do that but your harvest will be small. I had a friend do this with a lot of plants... 2-3 week veg I think and plants mostly under an ounce.
Check out IC mag forums for excellent grow info.

You'll be better off with a veg/flower cycle

I remember reading somewhere that a plant will generally grow to twice its size once put onto a 12/12 cycle, or more depending on the strain

I'd say you'd probably want to have at least a few weeks of veg growth before you start a 12/12 cycle, I'm not sure if a plant could even grow from seed to harvest on a 12/12 cycle but even if it could the plants and harvest would be tiny at best

Never use Miracle-Gro for cannabis plants

It does not have the right ratios of nutrients and will throw off the pH

Use Fox Farms nutrients, they are specifically designed for cannabis plants

It works but it hinders their potential

Fox Farms is kinda expensive but that's like the standard as far as cannabis nutrients go

If it's not an autoflower, you can expect -maybe- 1/8th oz off a seed gone straight into 12/12, if you feed it right
that is.  You should get em up for roughly a couple months in veg before you can get 2z, again, if you take care of em.

The article says: "Tropical sativas (narrow leaf) will take a long time before flowering is induced and are more dependent on other factors such as age or root development. They will grow in the vegetative stage for months under just 12 hours of light."

I have never gotten a plant to stay in veg with 12 hours, but I don't doubt it can be done.  I'd test out your particlar seed under 12/12 before hand to ensure that you avoid instant flowering.  If you get instant budding it's just 1/8th z yield tho.

Yea it would be more worthwhile to just give them a good veg stage in 18/6 before you put them into 12/12

Might be useful if you want to keep them really small though I don't see the point otherwise

For smaller plants (which is not my thing) I'm thinking more like 50 percent stretch?, but if your talking about 3-4 feet tall, you can expect them to stretch another 20-30 percent, genetics come into play a little there.  I'm talking about finishing outdoors
in natural light, so maybe some powerful HPS will get em up taller than that.

Ahh yea I was referring to strictly indoor grows under artificial light, outdoor grows are a whole other ballpark
