Story time kids: had a convo with a Muslim from Saudi Arabia at a bar populated with 'antifa looking' hipsters...and had the best exchange with him. Ended up talking until the sun came up outside on the street. Oddly enough, we had a lot in common about defending your country, America staying out of foreign politics, and the emptiness of atheism and modern culture. Learned, among many other things, that Jesus is a major character in the Quran is supposed to be there on Judgement Day to defeat ...whatever their name for Satan is. Interesting stuff.

Addendum: had another conversation with a black dude from Africa (at the same bar) and it was a nearly identical set up. We were sharing a larff about Women's Studies and I was like, 'GD, dude, shhh!' lol. Started think, Good Lord, I might have to change my position on immigration here soon. God, I love diversity. And talking to people I may disagree with and finding common ground. Best feeling ever. Anyhow, sorry to ramble.

I saw this dude live last year. Cool show. This video below from 7:26 on is what pretty much sold me on going at the time. Gary Clark Jr can blues it up and shred both.

Virna Lindt - Underwater Boy

From wikipedia:
Quote:

Virna Lindt is a former model and singer from Sweden. She released two albums, Shiver in 1983 and Play/Record in 1985, both on the Compact Organisation label, and both collaborations with writer/producer/arranger Tot Taylor. Combining pop, soundtrack and experimental influences, they have since been reissued on CD by LTM. Her style has been described as "John Barry-meets-new wave" and, in another review, a diseuse.
