LC - does this look ready? BRF / WBS jars updated pics 8/31

Here is a pint jar of KSSS LC. Made with organic honey.
I've never done LC before and I think this looks ready. I would love to make some jars with this. What do you guys think? I do see a few small dots that aren't white, but only when I shake it up. I think this is just dirt or mineral deposits from the water?

Is this:
1. Ready 2. Not ready 3. Contaminated
Thanks in advance!

you have to test LC you can't visually tell anything about them other than when they're clearly contaminated. you can't tell they're healthy by looks.
if you started your LC from spores rather than a clean culture like on an agar wedge just go ahead and assume it is contaminated until proven clean

Thanks to all of your helpful responses in my previous post. I waited about a week and then inoculated some BRF jars. Every single one of them is not contaminated using the oven tek:

I have some WBS jars inoculated that just started showing some growth, but I am going to wait a few days to make sure there are no contams before posting pics.
I am stoked!

I'm thinking about a SAB. I just bought eight 18 gallon bins to experiment with.
I've just never had trouble with the oven tek. I have a specific way I do it. Of course I use gloves, and wash them with soap and then wash again with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
Pre-heat oven to 170 degrees. I have a glass filled halfway with isopropyl alcohol. I keep my 15 gauge 10cc syringe in the glass needle down when I'm not using it. Always.
After taking the syringe out of the glass, I have my specimens on an alcohol rubbed oven rack - both the LC and the jars I'm going to inoculate. I flame my syringe needle for 5-10 seconds. I suck 10cc's of LC into the syringe and then immediately inoculate jar 1.
I then place the syringe needle down in my glass of alcohol until I'm ready for jar 2. Repeat flaming the needle and sucking of LC, and move on down the line until I'm done with every jar.
It takes a while but I have never had issues with the oven tek - I'm still not understanding why it's not a tek that more people use... I keep a clean house and rub everything I use with alcohol first and during my inoculations.
On this test, I even had two different LC jars to test - Jar A and Jar B. Both worked out just fine with no *known* contams to date.
I may continue the oven tek since it costs $0 and has never let me down.
You guys rock and if you don't agree that's cool - use what works for you! PNL (Peace and love)

Super stoked to find that my WBS jars have all appeared to have survived their inoculations.

Test jars that were made with LC jar 1 are almost fully colonized, but test jars that were made with LC jar 2 are just starting colonization...

Yea so these jars have tyvek on bottom / polyfill between the lids / and coffee filters on top. I followed Doc 34's tek for making the jars:

Here are the BRF jars arranged in groups of LC jar 1 and LC jar 2. They are taking a bit of time, but that's to be expected with BRF.

I just checked and I did just lose one jar from LC jar 1, and it appears it was because of faulty micropore taping, allowing a contam to weasel it's way through the tiniest air hole. Oh well

True. It's not the ideal filter for GE. I hope he has metal lids under all those layers

Toss the coffee filters? Yea those in the Tek were said to provide an extra layer of protection from contams. Since I've never done WBS or LC before I figured I'd use the extra precaution.
Sorry but does GE mean grain exchange? These were done liquid culture. What is GE?
Metal lids with 1/4 in holes filled with polyfil per the Tek I provided for WBS prep

I just remembered something that RR said once. Not the exact words but close enough.
Using a coffee filter to keep out contams is like trying to keep out mosquitoes with a barbed wire fence.
