I just booked a flight to Australia * 1
    #23580452 - 08/26/16 03:19 PM (7 years, 5 months ago)

Fucking made my year man.

Gonna be there a month; early December -> early January. Will be between Noosa and Armidale mostly. Any Aussie Shroomerites around that part of the world up for a beer?

Thanks LC! I've already done lots of the country, sightseeing and stuff; barrier reef, ayers rock, surfers, etc, etc. This is really about getting a feel for the place, since I'm planning to permanently emigrate there middle of next year, so it'd be nice to meet a few friendly faces who know that part of the world already...

Bit of local knowledge is always good!

Do you mind if I ask why you plan on moving to Australia? I have never been and don't know much about the down under... What is more appealing about living there than in the United States? just curious.

For starters, I don't live in the US. Been in the UK last 20 years of my life.

Secondly, I'm dual nationality, and have family and a farm to stay on there. So no visas or any of that bullshit.

Thirdly, I'm fed up of the city life and wanna live in the middle of nowhere for a bit.

Fourthly, since the life I was building here collapsed around me, I feel the need to start fresh somewhere.

Fifthly... the list goes on..

My bad about assuming you were in the US.
Thanks for the response.

Interestingly, I find it entirely unsurprising that you did. As an Englishman, we're kinda let to believe that the stereotypical American is grossly unaware of the rest of the world as it exists outside America.

I'm in eastern Victoria, about 200kms from Melbourne.

Are you going near there?

No idea where those two places are.

Do you know who I am? Should be obvious by now. haha. I may have accidentally reinstalled Windows then found Shroomery works again.

I know, it's funny I was thinking the same thing which is why I apologize. I hate to perpetuate that stereotype but it really was just simply over-looking the flag in your location. Sorry, I just got off work.

I do man, I do. Google maps is your friend:

Noosa

Armidale

Will probably spend a few days in Sydney too when I fly in.

Hey don't sweat it man, I know the feeling. I think it's kinda funny. I'm sure some of the stereotypes of British people you guys have hold true too.

You should establish a kangaroo village and have like at least 274 kangaroos of all shapes and sizes hopping all around and living in harmony

They travel in packs all round the land where I'll be staying. Probably more than 274. If I'm feeling adventurous I'm gonna shoot and eat one.

But wouldn't you feel like a monster if you blasted some random kangaroo's head off only to find this little guy cowering under her dead body?

I know I would

I was out shooting with my cousin when I was too young to shoot and he did just that. I thought it was pretty cool at the time, those baby joey's are cute AF and we got to look after it a few days. Can't say I'd feel the same now, but I'd be careful about it. I try my best not to kill anything unless I'm gonna eat it or it's gonna eat me.
