What's your ideal burger? 1

What's your perfect burger?
What kind of meat would it contain? How would the patty be made? What would you put on it? What kind of bread would it have? What side would it come with? What would you wash it down with?

Great question pat, I like a beef patty because I'm a normal person, an original sesame seed bun (fresh and good), a good amount of mayonnaise, a slice of American cheese, melted of course. Lastly, a single piece of lettuce. Wash it down with a sweet tea! Southern style I guess.

Ground round with bleu cheese mixed therein at a ratio of 6 ounces of beef:1 ounce cheese. Lawry's seasoned salt would be mixed into the patty during that process. Patty would be formed in a press and cooked over charcoal, medium. Buns would be onion buns, toasted on the grill.
Nothing else belongs in the burger.

A thick bison burger patty with some chipotle sauce and jalapeño flavouring mixed in the patty, flamebroiled with melted mozzarella on top at the end and set on a gently toasted ciabatta bun with spicy mayo, crisp lettuce, red onions, pickles, tomatoes, hint of mustard, couple onion rings and a fried egg on top.
I'd enjoy washing it down with a crisp, cold innis & gunn honey lager or a Kilkenny

burgers that are served upside down drive me fucking insane and I have to rebuild em before I can eat it.
the patty goes on the bottom, and toppings come after.
that's why they're called toppings.

Hey, agree to disagree. Personally I think you meaties are really limiting yourselves when it comes to burgers. I mean have your tried a portobello mushroom burger, or a black bean burger before? Done right, there's no going back, but believe me it can also be done very poorly. But I will admit time and time again I do miss the classic American cheese burger. And I'd be lying if I said I haven't been thinking about switching back to meat recently for health reasons.

Great topic Patlal.
I like an all-beef hand-smacked patty, cooked medium-rare, all pink and juicy on the inside, topped with cheddar or pepper jack cheese. Cooked on the grill of course. About 2-2.5" thick.
On the burger, i like lots of ketschup, some grainy mustard seed mustard (forgot the name), safflower mayo, round cut kosher pickles, red-green lettuce, long cut grilled onions and some sliced roma tomatoes.
Bread is a hoggie roll type, with onions imbedded in the bread.
As for a side, either potato salad or long cut french fries seasoned with herbs and salt, with lots of ketchup and a ice cold strawberry-banana smoothie (with blended ice cubes and blended vanilla ice cream) to wash it down, and a side of iced Fuji water in case i run out of smoothie.
I wish i could make one right meow

Rice in burritos is a sin against nature, give me the good stuff not a cheap placeholder that absorbs the taste of the good stuff.

Here is my recipe for a mouth watering char broiled burger.
Take some hamburger meat, minc some garlic, green peppers, green onion and spanish onions. Teaspoon of chili powder per burger, salt(however you really want, it's just for seasoning) and teaspoon of cayenne pepper per burger. Mix it very well, like, dig into it and squeeze the meat through your fingers with all the ingredients and mix it well. You just want to spread the ingredients through out the burger.
Next, cut a slice of butter, not too much and lay it on a piece of aluminum foil. Take a balled up hamburger and lay ontop of the butter and flatten the burger out with a plate or something. It should look like a steak. Wrap the burger up in aluminum foil so that the juices won't run out.
Set them on a grill for 10 minutes then flip. After 20 minutes they should be nice and done. Lightly poke a hole into the aluminum so that the juices can drain out and flip them over for another minute or so while the juice drains out. Bonus points if you make a fireball.
They are essentially done at this point, but not quite. Put them on a bun and add some veggies of your choosing and mix in some raw leaves of this plant to improve the taste: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acmella_oleracea
Hands down the best burgers ever.
