Good, we're aligned.

So what you're saying is that no one on Obamacare who qualifies for a subsidy was paying full price for health insurance before, and therefore no one's wealth is going up (only their health?)  Yes, you did say that above:  "The people who could afford a $5000 plan before, don't qualify for subsidies now."

Did you know that many people ARE saving a lot of money with Obamacare?  If you understand #1 above, then you have to agree those people who are saving money got an increase in their wealth as a result.

Plus, if we implement a single payer healthcare system, the wealth of the middle class would go up even further still, as they'd pay less in extra taxes than the healthcare savings they would get by eliminating today's premiums.

This has been debunked repeatedly, the only ones who would see any "free healthcare" are those who don't pay taxes

Keep living in fantasy land, your ignorance is stunning

Do you have a learning disability?

This has been explained to you ad nauseum. The savings from health insurance premiums, copays, and deductibles are still way more than the tax hikes.

If Aetna charges you $5 for health insurance, and the single payer system alternative is $2, youre paying either $5 or $2. Not $7.

Either youre being intentionally ignorant, or you lack the capacity to not be.

Pretty story a few pages back, but what was the point? Other than perhaps to intimidate Alyssa.

The entire point was to illustrate to Alyssa that subsisting off of other people's labor is exploiting them. And if they knew it and she was doing it directly they would take Serious exception to it. She is only able to plunder and steal other people's property because the law prescribes that. In a Robinson Crusoe style situation she would either work or die. So she can sit here today and go on about how she is a welfare checkster and how working is bad for you. I don't know where some people think they get their privilege but you not working and being on welfare is exploiting other people. You are taking advantage of other people.

If you missed some of the previous discussion she was going on about how the government needs to control people and tell them what to do. And if that were the case nobody would have to work very hard because there wouldn't be much work to do.

Are you seriously going to claim that insurance premiums have QUINTUPLED since the ACA?

I thought ectasic was being nitpicky as the numbers were highly theoretical, but now I
join him in saying "sit the fuck down."

If true, your case is far from typical. I'd believe as much as a 200% increase, but not 450%ish.
The most expensive insurance for an individual doesn't breach 350 in my state. Most expensive markets in the nation
Clearly you must have a family, but then I'm incredulous of the $200 figure pre-ACA. Did you previously
have insurance through work then get dropped?

If true though, your hatred of ol'Barry would make a lot of sense

No--previous company--2015 price--$100 every two weeks.

Current Company--2016 Price--$190 a week.  Both cases it is me only.

Lot's of other people experience this.  Its shitty insurance too.  Obamacare Premiums are rising, some up to %65.  Large carriers have dropped out in many states.  Why do you think the big increases are coming NOW?  And why do you think many of the items of Obamacare were delayed until now?

It's a shitty policy, and all it does is say that everyone can have health insurance.  It was a classic crony capitalist self-out to the insurance companies.

Before people couldn't have insurance.  But everyone did have the right to HEALTH CARE.  And you can still go bankrupt from medical costs.

Obamacare did nothing to address the disparities in markets, such as needed Tort reform.  Of course that makes sense since so many democrats are trial lawyers.

In that case it seems pertinant to tell you that individual non-work insurance in the most expensive market
doesn't go over 500/month as per the link above EDIT: least expensive "silver" option circa 2014

Gotta shop around

Its what happens when your entire personality has been developed by focus groups for decades. She has no sense of self anymore, she laughs when she thinks it makes sense to laugh, not because she thinks anything is funny.

Tourette Syndrome*

And yeah, I hope to see both Trump and Hillary's medical records opened to the press at the least. And Trump's taxes
And Hillary's emails. God damn it, this is one secretive election!
