All roads lead home, home is where the heart is

I haven't been around since spring and wanted to share my whereabouts before diving back into participating within the community.

Always knew I had a cyst on my left kidney.  When I was a teen I had mysterious pain in my side and that was all imaging found.  I've since grown up and random pain in my side has become, like other ailments, something I have accepted as the woes of existence.

Back in March the pain flared up tremendously.  I'm a manager of a sales/retail store and at the time was short staffed so I was working 60 hour weeks and had no time to get the dull aching addressed.

A day before my birthday I was rushing out to open the store.  I went to push in the clutch and consequently blacked out.  I was found in my driveway and rushed to hospital.  Upon admission to the ER I had a 104 fever, heart palpitations, and a 9 on the pain scale.  After much poking and prodding they took blood and urine and determined I had an infection and was septic, in came the iv antibiotics.  My body did not respond for three days, in those days I insisted 'check the cyst, the cyst'.  Morphine did nothing for the pain, iv dilaudid took the edge off.

After days of dicking around they did imagining and deduced that the cyst on my kidney was abscessed and pouring infection into my kidney and blood.  They put me under and placed a drain which took 10 days to pull most of the nasty from the cyst.  By this time the urine culture came back, they specified the antibiotic, and the fever came down.

Spent a month in telemetry unit i graduated down to the on-your-way-out floor for a week, and left with a picc line for continued antibiotic and dilaudid administeration.

After a month of rest I returned part time to work for a bit, and now I'm back fully.  I vow to never go back to the hospital.  Most of the nurses were bitchy, I swear they were messing with my meds and blowing my veins on purpose.  I am thousands of dollars in debt, and the hospital has collections after me.  Infectious Disease alone is 2 grand.  All this and the issue has not been resolved.

The infection has never been fully knocked out and the cyst keeps abscessing.  I so adamantly want them to take it off surgically, but they say renal surgery would risk loosing part or all of the kidney.  So they keep draining it this was the third time, and drowning my system in different hail mary photosensitive antibiotics which this bacteria is quite resistant to.  Best summer ever, I tell ya.

Excercize or being on my feet long hours flares the pain, my bladder for the first time is involved and every frequent time I must pee I'm doubled over in pain and at times while peeing I'm writhing and or moaning in pain.  Seems to be part of my fucking life, now.  Sometimes I just wish I'd be put down.  Like a sickly dog with shitty quality of life.

In my time on the couch I really got into herbalism and have a garden of dandelion I've been self treating with.  (Easiest thing I've ever grown, ha).  Mushroom complex with mostly reishi, curcumin, ubiquinol, and 100 billion cfu probiotic twice daily has been my regimen.  Along with AZO, cranberry and d-manose.

I had issues getting off the pain meds but that is another post.  So consequently I consume massive amounts of red vein kratom.  As a matter of fact when the pain meds failed me this herb has been my saving grace.

tldr;  was in hospital for five weeks and am still dealing with a renal cyst that keeps raging with infection and spreading it to various parts of my body.  I've been left with a dismal outlook on life and am drowning in medical bills.

That is my story :shockedpussy: , I really missed the shroomery and am happy to be back :loveheart:
