If you're comfortable answering this question would you?
When you made the decision, were you "caught between" genders physically as i've heard some people can be? Or were you mentally not feeling like a man?

So you're undergoing a sex change correct? What spurred the decision?

More reasons than I could possibly list, many of them exquisitely personal. But an anonymous troll in the romp actually summed it up pretty well the other day, I was surprised by their insight considering they were ostensibly antagonizing me. They said that they recently removed a splinter and that it felt really good to get it out, asked if it felt the same way. It does.

What spurred my decision? I've wanted to be female for as long as I can remember. Does it have to be more complex than that?

I think the origin of "want" is more of the question. Everything people do has a motive behind it, I have trouble identifying the motive of a sex change.. because no one has ever explained it succinctly to me.
It doesn't matter. I don't need to understand... it's just always escaped me. I guess it must be one of those "you had to be there" things, where only the people who do it can understand the reasoning.

I remember a dream that really haunts me to this day that I had when I was just a kid. I walked outside and there was a pool and my mom and sister were in it and they were mermaid princesses, I wanted to be one too and everyone laughed at me because I was a boy.
There's plenty of others stuff also, but I think that was my earliest memory of gender dysphoria.

fair enough That didn't clarify it for me but i'm glad we live in an age where people who don't feel comfortable in their default gender can change.

You don't know shit about me or my life or my health. Fuck off with your fake concern.
Just because I don't like you doesn't mean I would rather you fuck yourself up physically because of what many trans people even admit is a mental illness. Do you deny the high rate of suicide among post-op transsexuals? What I really hate is how things like this are starting to become normalized, if it keeps going there are going to be kids growing up not knowing who the fuck they are because of what they see being pushed in the media or even in their schools. It's gotten to the point where some parents are even giving their prepubescent children hormones because they "seem confused" about their gender identity.

Can you cite your suicide rate claim? This stuff intrigues me. Most emerging alternative human behaviors do (homosexuality, transgender ops etc) because they often start occurring due to some sort of evolutionary driver IMO.
For instance I believe homosexuality is increasing among our species largely as an evolutionary answer to overpopulation.

Gender affirming treatments are proven to greatly reduce suicidality and improve functioning in people who suffer from gender dysphoria.

But that's part of the decision, surely. If you decide to do something to modify your body people who see it are going to react in one way or another whether that be positive or negative. Regardless of whether that fact is upsetting, it's a fact and you'd be shortsighted not to take that into the equation.
If I pierced my tongue like a snake because I always felt more like a snake-tongued mouse than a regular mouse i'd have to first come to the realization that I'd be judged on it at most turns. That realization would play atleast a small part in my decision to go through with my urge or not.

But my alternate option is to hide away in my apt on disabillity pretending to be happy being cis till I go full Cobain. Only two options that I would choose. Which sounds better?

I plan to be very open about the fact that I'm trans, and if that's a problem for some people, then that's THEIR problem not mine. I don't care about those people, same as how you don't care about trans people.

You assert that I don't care about trans people. Can you back that up at all, or are you just overreacting to my curiosity because it makes you uncomfortable to be questioned about the decision?
