centrum, are you sure the weed was fake? What would they have been charged with if they were never in posession of real weed?
Someone mentioned Canadian law. I can't remember where I heard this, but from what I've heard there is no entrapment defence in Canada.
If two big guys came up to me at night and offered to sell me weed, I might guess they were trying to rob me and were just fronting about the weed (either it was fake, of very low quality, or didn't exist).
If I gave them money, it would primarily be because I was concerned with avoiding getting the shit kicked out of me. In this way, a person might "buy" drugs from a police officer in attempt to protect their own safety, even if they never bought or consumed any illegal drugs before.

Those guys were probably too poor to afford a lawyer anyway. What's really sick and sad is that the whole operation was intended to make some extra cash for the city/state/gov, in a "publicly acceptable" way. The druggies go to jail, the streets are safer, and more money for all us Christian non-smokers. YAY!! We can afford to train more cops!

Last summer my apartment was broken into, damaged, and robbed. when I say broken into I mean the door was actually ripped off, and the frame was ruined. My roomate and I lost about $350 in cash and like another $1200 in stolen and broken stuff. we all got back at different times. There were 4 of us living there, my roomate jb, my friend eric who was booted from his house was staying was staying with us, and my girl friend. Everyone went out early on sunday, we were all back by 2pm and the apartment was only left 1 hour without someone being there. when we got back we saw the door and the cops were called, it took hours for them to get over to us, we filed a report, neighbors were questioned, and the cops left. none of our stuff was ever found, and the cops wouldn't do anything about it. it was almost like they were avoiding us. in the end we were blamed for the robbery kicked out and told to pay damages. we told them to stayed for 4 months without pay rent or damages. they haven't tried to contact any of us so i guess we did get something out of the robbery

they were selling fake MJ in the ghetto, and these poor guys got tackled and cuffed after they bought 10-20 bucks worth of fake MJ.
Its wrong is'nt it. Next step for em is putting up fake 90mph speed signs on the interstate and catching the ones who go 90mph.
Its pretty fucked up.
Putting up signs that say 90 miles per hour is in the same class of selling fake pot.
Thats so fucked up. Most cops are dickheads.
