I wanna dry them out really well and grind them into a seasoning.  How should I go about this?

No deals!

They are some purdy ones too.

The scorpion I got is just staring at me like "Try me buddy"

I gotta get some gloves to chop it up for sure and keep the dogs outside.

I'm drying ghost peppers now.  It's taking forever because they have a thick, waxy exterior, but I've got them in front of a fan & I'm flipping them daily.  Seems to be slowly working.  I tried to sun dry some, but it's real humid here, and they ended up getting mold.

The Internet says that a food dehydrator is best.  I also read that you can turn your oven to like 150° & leave them in their with the oven door slightly ajar.  But the same source said that you can somehow vaporize the capsaicin like that, and make the air irritating.  Idk.

Just get some Damprid and make a dual-layer mesh drying tray like you would use to dry out shroomies

Then when they're bone-dry grind them into a powder and zoot a fat line on camera for our amusement

Have you tried slicing them a bit?

When I fan dried my big laughing gyms I always had to make incisions throughout the caps and stems.

Yeah I can imagine that the east coast is too humid to air-dry, desert climate would be best for that.

What's the lowest temperature you can set the oven to? I would try that.

Yeah, I was gonna mention that.  Cut them in half the long way to help them dry quicker.

I bought some ghost peppers the other day at the store.

Those little bastards don't play.

If you think ghosts are hot, you gotta get yourself a scorpion.

I've increased my tolerance to spicy foods and I think I might be ready for habanero...

Ghost peppers must be hell.

Habaneros have a pretty good flavor. That's about as spicy as I'll go though, too much hot stuff and I get hiccups.
