Accidentally silicone sealed BRF jar

I misread instructions on the PF Tek and made 3 SHIPs on each BRF jar, then pressure cooked them. When I went back to re-read it I realised I'd done it wrong, does this matter? Should I just pierce through the silicone or should i make more holes and cover them with micropore tape?

Didnt inoculate yet, should i just empty the jars out, then remake cakes with holes in lid this time?

Ok yes. With no air flow the back pressure would suck the whole syringe in a instance and growth might be ok but still waste. Second idea is in your still air box open the lids and inject spores that way. Third way would be to open up and remake lids and then just re sterile the cakes. Third sucks the most

Ripped off the silicone and put a paper towel over the holes instead. I did so much wrong I've just decided to mentally write them off and start afresh. Gonna put the jars on a shelf and wait for contams, absolute disgrace.

Oh wow that's 100x better than the other teks I was coming across, thanks a lot!
Thank you for the positive messages everyone, I just made new jars and have them cooling down in the PC right now, I'll inoculate tomorrow morning when they're cool.
