Are anarcho-capitalism and a truly free market paradoxical?
    #23574883 - 08/25/16 02:06 AM (7 years, 5 months ago)

Are we justified in ignoring the abuse of others liberties to enable our own? Where is the line drawn and what justifies the harm of another whether or not for gain. Good examples are pornography (especially child and abusive), poisons and destructive weapons intended for or profiting from the harm of others and services offering harm for hire; with no benefit and the presence of an intended victim. Where would the line be drawn how would it be regulated and enforced without infringing on others liberties?

Not at all. A political system and economic system are often intersected parralels. That's not to say an an anarchist group of people couldn't use a free trade barter system. Dunno what you mean by the rest of it. Who's drawing the line? The hypothetical anarcho capitalist group? Lines aren't drawn they're subjective ethical dillemas.

I agree it is an ethical question but in the example of hidden marketplaces is our freedom from regulation worth the possibility of enabling harm and exploitation of others for personal gain? Is a true free market an impossibly perfect system?

I say yes, within reason.
