It's really not that hard to understand the context if you study the history of it. Israel was under Roman occupation, the Jews hated it because the religious observances demanded by the Romans basically forced the Jews to break their own religious laws. There were many messianic Jewish sects at the time that promised liberation from Roman occupation, like Bar Kokhba in particular. Most of the messiahs who came forward during this time were warlords and generals who led armed revolts against the Romans, resulting in huge amounts of bloodshed at the hands of Rome's superior military strength, but Jesus was "the lamb", a pacifist who advocated cooperation with the Romans and a realignment of Jewish praxis to harmonize with the occupiers. What began as a Jewish sect was soon co-opted by the Romans and refashioned to quell Jewish agency. Some say the Jesus story was inculcated in the Jewish community by a Roman operative, hoping to pacify Jewish insurgency against the Empire through religious manipulation.
That help?

yet, so many people like to project what Jesus would have done, now, and then they are listened to because "fuck the other".

I think back then it was more mercantilism, and they had no real schools of thought on the subject. They just wanted nt to starve, get pillaged, orkilled by disease
Jesus said he s coming back with a sword too. He pretty much said fuck all who dont forsake everything for god

More like no government has ever declared itself Communist, only socialist. The differences are admittedly pedantic and ill-defined.
The Catholic Church for one has interpreted the biblical scripture and given it the name of "communalism." Then again, these are the guys wistful for the return to absolute theocratic monarchy Life within communes (ie. monastaries and nunneries), but especially the early christians and the "desert father" hermits are examples of strict fundamental adherence to the followings of Christ

The papacy is full of it. And Pope Francis is total anti-Christ material. I do like some of what you just said, actually. It stands to reason.

I am curious what your opinion of JFK is. And the school of "communalism" is definitely from the John Paul II era

I think JFK was a generally good Catholic who liked banging broads (for the flesh is weak and adultery is tempting). I think he was "handled". I think his handlers used women and his adulterous spirit as part of their control over him. And I think he was playing ball with policy advisement up until a change of heart/realization had him going off script and calling out the nefarious intentions of his handlers, who then decided to have him whacked in true Mafia style, allowing for the installation of their puppet in Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson. It was a total false flag cover-up to prevent both further public perception changes and legally-binding executive actions from the POTUS.

Lone wolves don't have flags, aside perhaps from the Confederate flag.

Lol LBJ a puppet. LBJ was a master of arm twisting congress. Turned out pretty fucking good for people of color who didn't want to be treated like animals anymore in the south. In fact it was JFKs death that was pretty unifying in pushing civil rights legislation forward.

How unifying was it for the civil rights movement when MLK got capped?

Yeah, my caveat about LBJ being a mafia puppet is that its not like LBJ let up on organized crime. First I've heard of that one though, interesting.

Uninteresting point indeed. The only Flagg that Soapbox Radical has is of the Randall variety.

Randall Flagg is a fictional character created by Stephen King. Flagg has appeared in at least nine of King's novels, either as a major or very minor character. He has a variety of names, usually initialed "R.F." but with occasional exceptions, such as Walter o'Dim (originally envisioned by King as a separate character) in The Dark Tower series.[3] Flagg is described as "an accomplished sorcerer and a devoted servant of the Outer Dark",[3] with supernatural abilities involving necromancy, prophecy, and influence over animal and human behavior. His goals typically center on bringing down civilizations through destruction and conflict
