My controller batteries had a burnt smoke rising form the back one day into it. My new one. Fuck it, played on the x-box for a very long time and the red circle shit. Scorpio doesn't come out for a year I just found out when I thought it was in January.
So no games, just wondering how watching the one release of the scorpio video and it's specs how great the V.R. will be as it seems to be a center source of attention for it. Price should be interesting and what comes with it.
A year, fuck. Joy pills in the meantime!

I hadn't even heard of this "Project Scorpio" before this post. After reading about it, why not just get a PC? You could surf the shroomery on the same device you play your games on. You can do anything with a PC, which I think they're trying to do that with consoles, but why buy a console that is trying to imitate a PC when you could just get a PC and be set?
I'm sure I'm a bit of an asshole when it comes to this being a PC elitist, but what is the benefit of a console? I guess with Nintendo and Sony machines you'll get some exclusives, but don't Xbox games run under Windows? Not that I suggest running Windows.
I have a gaming machine that I built five or six years ago for under six hundred dollars, and I've recently upgraded it for another $250 dollars and it plays any new game (if I weren't running Linux) better than an xbone. Plus there are a ton of games that are PC exclusives. That's $850 dollars to span two (possibly three?) generations of consoles. Pretty competitive price, a way larger library of games, especially considering emulators. Games are cheaper, especially considering all the sales on Steam, etc. I have programmed, done Photoshop/GIMP work, browsed the web way too much, downloaded tons of music and movies. I can use Steam big picture if I want to chill back with a controller to play something, or I can use my keyboard and mouse from right in front of the screen in my comfy chair. I should also add that I don't have to have a PSN account or a Live account to play my games online.
A PC does everything, a console plays games, and does a few other things, but way worse than a PC.
I'm sure I sound like an asshole, but what is it about consoles that makes people buy them?

Don't know yet. Microsoft just released just one thing about it and it's specs. More to come, yet I hope as everything is going everything just ends up all on one tv you buy and you choose and pay on it which society is becoming. Not negative though it will have those aspects, just more convienient.
