I live on a cattle ranch and have never picked or experimented with the shrooms that grow out here in Texas. So I decided to and found these this morning, can someone help me out? I want to go to the moon. I have about 5-6 different kinds that grow out here. These were picked out in the field where the cattle are and was growing out of cow manure. Okay, so I am having problems trying to add the photos to this posting. Any ideas on how else to do that? I've done everything to add pics and even chose the ones I want but nothing.

Chlorophyllum molybdites
All of your photos show these two species. The first is edible and the latter is toxic.

The first that you say is edible look like the Panaeolus cyanescens that implee talked and showed in the Noob Psilocybe cubensis Identification - Pictorial to ID Cubes, Copes & Gyms TX, FL & other states. + 2 #8045055 - 02/19/08 10:46 PM (8 years, 6 months ago). (Qoute) Panaeolus cyanescens These mushrooms are nick named “Copes” don't confuse them with “Psilocybe cyanescens” they are not the same mushroom. Copes are much stronger than cubes.
Where do they grow? They grow right along side of Psilocybe cubensis on Cow poop NOT horse poop. Some cow fields produce more copes than cubes some fields produce more cubes than copes.
Stem: Hollow, brown at the bottom, and fades to whitish beige yellow gray at the top. The stems bruise really blue.
Cap: Bruises blue, gray and sometimes yellowish center, sometimes you see black spores sprayed on top.
Spores: Jet black
Bruising: Copes take longer to bruise blue than cubes, so if they look like copes squeeze the stem a little, or cut the stem towards the cap like you see in the picture below and wait about 1-5 minutes you should see a light green blue appear, it will probably get darker blue over the next thirty minutes. If you are unsure if its a cope but you dont want to throw it away just yet, put it in a separate bag and check on it at the end of your hunt... The stems should be blue in spots where they are bent. Remember bruising lowers potency so once you know its good stop bruising it. (End Quote) However, I don't know for sure, that's why I am asking questions and trying to learn

Nah, that is Panaeolus antillarum. Panaeolus cyanescens has thinner caps and stems, and stains blue where damaged.

From researching Panaeolus antillarums I am seeing that there is no known psychoactive substances in Panaeolus antillarums. However a couple of people have said that after eating some report: (Quote from spiritwalker) #11112911 - 09/23/09 03:14 PM (6 years, 10 months ago)
Yo! We found a bunch of Panaeolus antillarum yesterday and posted here only to be disappointed when we found out what they were. A few of them looked like Panaeolus cyanescens and since I researched Panaeolus extensively last night I figured it wouldn't hurt to eat a few caps since there are no poisonous Panaeolus. So we did.
We didn't trip at all but we both felt this warm fuzzy and happy feeling, kind of like a mild opiate. Touching and scratching felt really good, skin felt softer, kind of like the beginning of an X trip and.. I dunno, it just felt warm and fuzzy. We both had some unusual and vivid dreams as well. (End Quote).
And (Quote from bunny) Re: Any opiate type properties in Panaeolus antillarum [Re: spiritwalker] + #11126747 - 09/25/09 05:48 PM (6 years, 10 months ago)
my husband ate a couple (about 3 in. around) and said he had the same feeling..hmmm (End Quote)
So I was wondering if anyone has had any type of experimenting with Panaeolus antillarum?

I experimented with it six weeks ago in Guadalajara. Ate a bunch of them, sauteed in butter. They were pretty good. No other effects were noted.
