Possible Trichloma

Location: Monashee Range, British Columbia, (PNW)
Habitat: Montane, Mixed Conifer/Deciduous Forest, in needle debris on forest floor
Gills: not investigated
Stem: Scaley, equal, central
Cap: reddish-orange, convex
Spore print color: not available
Bruising: not available (specimens left undisturbed)
I suspect this to be a Trichloma and suspect vaccinum in particular. Can anyone give me insight, further investigation that might be necessary other than by sight.

I initially thought it might be Cortinarius vibratilis except the scaley stipe didn't conform.

It looks like a Leccinum sp. I think if you look underneath it would have pores not gills.

Next time investigate, it's important for a proper ID.

Thanks. This, and others, are my first attempt at mushroom ID. The opportunity was rather impromptu and I wasn't equipped with much other than eagerness and my camera. I left numerous specimens undisturbed as I had no way of preserving them for proper study or to take spore prints, hence the occasional underside view may have been skipped.
Will follow up on your suggestion and see if I can't get a complete set of data on it, i.e. gills, spore colour, etc., next time I see it.
