What are these mushrooms?
    #23572243 - 08/24/16 09:06 AM (7 years, 5 months ago)

Habitat:
Found these on a walk on my wooded property in Sand Lake, Michigan this morning. They were all growing in the ground.

Gills:
No gills.

Stem:
Hopefully you can see from the photo.

Cap:
Hopefully this is clear from the photo as well.

Spore print color:
I don't know what this means.

Bruising:
The middle two seemed to darken a little when bruised. The outer two seemed to stay the same.

Other information:

By the way, I don't know why I picked the top middle mushroom. It looks pretty gross. I'll probably just throw it away no matter what so I don't really care what it is.

Looks like at least a couple different types of boletes, one likely in Tylopilus.

Run them through this key:  http://mushroomexpert.com/boletes

A lot of famous mycologists have done a lot of work on boletes in Michigan so you'll probably be able to put a name on it.
