Joanna Newsom is a brilliant folk lyricist and harpist, little weird but if you get into like Devendra Banhart and the like than you'll probably like her.
Sprout & The Bean
I would not generally consider Andrew Bird a folk artist, but he definitely has folk influences and this song is just particularly pretty to me.
Effigy
And of course, Iron and Wine, unfortunately I think his best stuff mostly flies under the radar of the more popular albums.
No Moon
Freedom Hangs Like Heaven.
The Roches - No shoes The only song I've ever been able to use as my wake up alarm and not start to hate, oddly enough.
I haven't been listening to that much folk lately, and I come up particularly empty when it comes to some more classic folk stuff, so if anyone has any recommendations other than Joni Mitchell(who I've exhausted myself listening to already ) that'd be cool.

That's awesome! I like it alot!
Reminds me of johnny hobo and the freight trains but with more instruments and a nicer voice.
Edit: just listened to some johnny and its really different lol, don't know why it reminded me of that, oh well lol
