this is everything anyone needs to know starting out i would think, except now i just need to go find some shrooms, my backyard has 3 underground annual springs and an annual stream, property surrounded in Douglas firs and other conifers, so i think I'm good just that i've been away from home for a while, not gonna find any of the shrooms i mentioned on my property though as they usually grow in man made, but you never know

Im not sure about the ones you mentioned above but the obvious ones you would look for would be on farmland where cows, sheep, goats and horses would be, there manure would be the substrate theyd grow in/around like the manured grasses that grow in clumps would be a obvious place, mainly I would look for a horse farm stable area or race track backstretch or anywhere manure/hay meet up, wether it be used as bedding for the animals or feed, the aged hay/straw and manure make the perfect enviroment but seeing you live in WA you have many species/options of shrooms to hunt for and time of year is as important as enviroment due to knowing what/where/when they grow.

Turned out they were Paneolus papilionaceus....stomachs still not right today. Do not eat anything till someone with experience ID's them

That's not a shroomery recommended means of identifying mushrooms.

Much more shroomy.

Fasting won't help with the nausia brought on after eating poisonous mushrooms.
You ole boys are so lucky to have such a resource as the shoomery. Your mushroom illustrations reminded me of the field guide I had> A Guide to British Psilocybin Mushrooms-Hassle Free Press
The only photos in the book were of liberty caps, all the rest were black and white drawings.
