When you guys say you sterilize your coir I'm assuming you mean you sterilize the entire cvg substrate? Any tips to doing it in a pc? Seems messy.

I do it in the PC, though there are easier methods, it's just my routine. I hydrate my sub and load it into large spawn bags, seal them and put them in my PC, I can do 2 in my AA921 and 3 in my 941, I put some ring spacers between the bags and either pasteurize on medium heat or lock the lid on and fire it up and bring it to pressure for 30-60 minutes. The only difference is the pasteurized sub has more bacteria left in it, which is expected but it is impossible to tell if it is beneficial, I'm leaning towards believing it is, but I can't say.

But do you sterilize the whole mix? The coir, verm, and gypsum all together? Or just the coir and then mix with the Verm and gypsum?

After hydrating and mixing I would gather? Also, if using mason jars do I just use the same altered lids as I would with my grains? Or unaltered lids?

Unaltered lids are fine, RR did it just covering in tin foil and the rings over that, but I really don't know why, I guess just to stick a temp probe into one.
