I wouldn't recommend growing in a closet in general but.. that light may or may not be fine.  If it's 60 actual watts, that's a bit too bright, but if it's a 60w equivalent bulb, it'll work fine.  Since you say it's huge I'm assuming it's 60 actual watts.  You need like 13-21 actual watts, which are the 60w and 100w incandescent equivalents.

6500k CFL is perfect though.

But yeah that huge bulb in a closet is asking for it to be too hot in there, or start a fire or something.

The bulb is 60 actual Watts, gives of pretty much no heat, it's about a meter above where the grow will be.

Well that's weird because I have a 20 something watt one that puts off a bit of heat.   Yours could be efficient as fuck I guess.  If it's not hot then use it, it's a good bulb.  Still, air flow in a closet is piss poor, will basically only be able to grow monotubs, with maybe the top holes completely empty.  SGFC in a closet is bad news though.

The room is perfect temperature 25c day and 23c at night, I will be fanning regularly, the closet is also wel ventilated. The light will be a 12/12 routine, I will be growing a grow kit as I have always had good results from them in the past.

Yeah I had plant growing in mind when I got these bulbs, but these bulbs don't give of hardly and heat, I had this bulb laying about an inch away from a thin material jacket for two hours and the material was just a little warm, this bulb gives a of no real heat.

20w is what RR recommends but round here 26-28w 6500k is cheaply and easily available from any shop so that's what I'll be using
I'm not sure if it massively negatively impact your grow with 60w but it may need a lot more spraying/bottom watering to stop it drying out after 12 hours plus cool down time it could get real hot, as for damage from the actual light I'm not sure

If you are still so worried about it how about you just get a 15-20 watt, 5,000 kelvin (k) or higher cfl.  Lumens are the intensity of the light, and it's not too important.  Just try to get at least 500.  I used two when I only had one mono and they barely put off noticeable heat.  get them at Home depot or lowes.  Walmart, even.

it cannot be that efficient, either it is 60W equivalent (looks too large for that though) or his idea of "pretty much no heat" is not what we would agree with. It looks too small to be a 60W CFL too.

I have a 125W cfl similar to these sizes

but now I search 60W cfl growlights it does seem right

Maybe if its vented it could be OK. I grew in a closet before but the room temp was far lower, and the bulb was only 11W and warmed the area up well.

That's what I was thinking, that he just doesn't think much of the heat, but it's still probably hotter than what I'd work with personally.  That shit builds up in enclosed spaces pretty easily.  Even just adding like 5F to your ambient temperature can have a % effect on your chances of problems.

 exactly!

Any bulb type emits some heat even LEDs though at a lower level.  Electricity produces dry heat which in return also lowers RH.

I have both of those exact bulbs in my plant grow rooms and I can confirm they are hot as shit cannot touch them
