tinfoil under cake?

in the grow tek under "Birthing the Cakes" it says "Placing down a piece of foil, , put them it into the fruiting chamber. Once all the cakes have been transferred, you are ready to induce fruiting"...does this mean you put a piece of tin foil in the terrarium right underneath the cake?

yeh it's just b/c sometimes the myc from the cakes will colonize yr perilite or get overly wet from the perilite
you don't have to use tin foil
i use small plates
a lot of people use blank cds

how about the lid of the jar???

and then i hear ur supposed to put the cake in contact with the perlite in between flushes until pinning?

lid of the jar works. Between flushes, dunk for 24 hours in water, then put back on the lid in the fruiting chamber.
