As far as I know, non 'natives' can participate in a number of states.

Non-natives can use it in 5 states I thought, through the Peyote Way Church.
Copy paste this from the PWC's website.
"Non-Indian Peyote use is protected in five states : AZ, NM, CO, NV, and OR."

It's pretty country, but those Mormons. . .

How much Native American do you have to have in you to participate in the NAC's ceremonies?
I got 1/4th supposedly, sure look like I do too.

seriously though...fucking gorgeous there but those people make it all around not a worthwhile place to travel. CO on the other hand
to get into the NAC you just pay them money, they accept non-native members something like 400usd

I just watched the BBC documentary that this links to - Getting High for God. Available on BBC i-player - but to download you have to be in the UK -or access a UK ISP address with a vpn.
A rather immature BBC reporter joins a native American church in Utah. He gets a membership card, but first had to prove his sincerity by paying $200, LOL.
After a tedious 20 minutes he finally gets to a peyote ceremony where in the company of about 6 people he drinks a little peyote tea!! He didn´t appear to feel any effect at all - neither did anyone else there, apparently. Nobody even threw up. I think he was ripped off. One to miss. Nice scenery though.
-------------------- I am currently BANNED from using Private Messages - so can anyone who wants to contact me do it via my Journal thread. Link is https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23831115 Maybe some mod or whatever might think this has now been long enough.

UT would be better than where I am at now, I don't mind Mormons. They have some wonderful hiking out there, and it's close to other cool outdoor states.
I don't mind anyone with a religious background, never really been bothered by anyone from a religion.

Many Native American Church charters allow non-natives into their fireplace. I'm one of them.

I've attended multiple native american ceremonies here in CO. Ayahuasca, Peyote and even ceremonies that dont include medicine like a Yuwipi ceremony.
Non natives are still welcome to participate in sweat lodges, Vision Quests etc. as well
