    #23563512 - 08/21/16 05:08 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Hey guys its been awhile since ive been in the shroom growing game.

Are electric pressure cookers like This an alternative to a normal stove top pressure cooker?

does anyone know what temperature and pressure settings i would use?

im stuck in a situation where i cant use the kitchen/stove so i was considering using an electric one. Im guessing its the temps and heat that are an issue with the electric one.

If you are in that type of situation then it's not worth the money.

That electric one only gets to 12psi.

That isn't the end of the world. Just add more time. But, you need to have enough water in the cooker to run for long enough. You will also only be able to fit like 2 qt jars in that thing. The internal dimensions suck because it has an internal basket. So its useless for grains. Unless you really want to just run multiple runs of a couple qts for hours all day long.

Honestly, it may be ok for small PFTek runs though if you have no stove access. I wouldn't use it for much else.

Perhap, it would be a better idea to move into a place where you have a stove before spending money on kinda useless stuff.

Looks like a crock pot on steroids.  Not suitable for this hobby, plus there isn't a preset menu function for mushrooms   It would probably make a bomber chicken and rice though!  What's your budget for a PC?
