Purchasing a quality milligram scale- what do you need to know?

Hi, i've decided to save up for a high-quality 0.0001g scale with an accuracy of +/- 0.2mg, as i'd really like to be able to accurately weigh a dose to the mg. So if 30mg, is my dose: 30mg is what i'll get! not 27 or 33 e.t.c - i'd really like to fine tune my sweet spot on certain substances.
Is there anything about scales in general i should know? Do they get damaged by ambient vibration? Are there any particular brands to avoid? anything at all - i won't be able to buy one for a while yet, they're very expensive.

Edit; Just realized you're looking for a balance, not a scale. That's a bit different, probably more sturdy than a scale. I have little experience with balances though so I have no real info to provide.
For true milligram scales:
They're serious pieces of scientific equipment and should be handled with care. You can damage them if you're not careful. They should be kept on a flat, solid, stable surface and ideally not moved. Generally people try to put them in the corners of desks in the corners of rooms for stability.
Realistically, you'll probably be fine, just be careful and be aware that it is a serious and delicate piece of hardware you're dealing with. Don't just toss it around like it's no big deal.
Also, any serious scale will tell you it's range of accuracy eg. +/- 0.1mg. Make sure you look for and read that info so you don't accidentally buy something that's +/- 3mg when you're looking for a true milligram scale.

cheers nooneman, I thought balance and scale were used interchangeably.. i'll have a read. -- edit: yeah, it's scales i'm after - not a balance. I'll re-name the thread.

There are 1000 milligrams in a gram. That seems like pretty useful info to know.
And as with any digital scale, if you put more weight on it than it is rated for you can potentially damage its accuracy.
