Can I use rye grain that has recovered from contamination?

I have a spawn bag with pure rye grain. It was colonising as normal then after the second time shaking it all up there was spots of dark green contam. Nothing like trich. The mycelium took over the contaminated parts and now looks as healthy as any other bag. Can it still be used or with it just go to shit when spawning to bulk?

Well if you have pressure sterilised it for a good hour and a half at 15PSI then it should be fine. It is is already mould eaten then start again, as nutrients have been used up.

No. Probably penicillium. It's still in there. Throw away

Um, Agar why are you saying it should be sterilized? It's already colonized, PCing it now doesn't make sense. Mwoo, if the bag is contaminated, then you should not spawn it. If there are hidden contams it will go to shit. Always include pics if you want the best advice for your situation
Edit: oops, azur beat me to it, lol

Oh okay? Already colonised, then ditch it. I was thinking of a time I popped in an agar wedge that didn't grow, so I just re-sterilised the grain (in case there was residual bacteria) and popped in a fresh wedge.
